Full Title of article: Women’s college student president alerts police to ‘Trump 2016’ drawing, calls it ‘racist act’
(I had to modify it to meet ATS 100 character limit for thread titles)

More insanity in our college campuses here in America. I truly worry for the future of the working world when these people that see racism and "violence" in every written or spoken word. It is such a blatant movement to stifle anyone from speaking freely, and only allowing "acceptable speech".

Scripps College’s student president says she alerted campus police after “#trump2016” was found scrawled on a dorm room door, calling it “racist … violence,” according to an email she sent to the campus community, a copy of which was circulated Saturday on social media.

Kim’s email went on to say “campus safety has been notified and we hope to find the person responsible so they can be held accountable for their actions. … Mental and emotional health of our students are our top concern.”
The consortium’s Campus Safety Department is staffed with a lieutenant and six sergeants, among other officers who respond to campus emergencies.

So, someone that writes a political statement you disagree with should be reported to police officers?
Reading further, there is a possibility this was actually written by the "offended" student on her own whiteboard in an attempt to disparage the opposing political party.

The victim in question highlighted the vandalism by making a poster next to her whiteboard stating “in case you think POC [people of color] are too sensitive nowadays and that racism doesn’t exist anymore. I’m a Mexican-American student and someone wrote #trump2016 on my whiteboard. Racism is still a problem on these campuses.”
The drawing allegedly appeared sometime late Friday or early Saturday during what amounts to a holiday weekend marking Easter for many. The lettering on the whiteboard and the poster has distinct similarities. Minjoo did not respond to a question of whether it was possible the incident could be a hoax.

What are you going to do? Shouldn't one of our national hot button issues be education and reforming just what the hell we are teaching our children. This is truly idiocracy brought to you by both sides of the political spectrum.

The Snowflakes will kill free speech before it's all said and done. It ironically seems the only way they will ever shut up.

Pretty sure that's already gone to hell.
If you are so emotionally unstable, that "Trump 2016" written on the wall scares or offends you, your mental health should be seriously questioned.

Another fine example of "The Wussification of the US". Oh , chalk writing terrifies me. Oh , a name scares me... The people today are so used to their parents overprotecting them (shielding them from the real world) and providing everything they want with no responsibilities accrued.Once out from under momma's apron , they are lost. The worst part , they turn to the government for that same treatment they received from their parents. This country is doomed.

So what is campus security going to do when/if they found the person who wrote "Trump 2016"? Arrest them for the crime of having a political opinion, sentiment or affiliation? Would that not be HIGHLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL??
People like this woman will be the death of America..unless living in a dystopian 1984 style nightmare gulag of oppression is anyone's idea of America.

What do You expect when You have unionized labor in the public sector. We spend more money per student then any country on earth but our people get dumber and dumber. The majority of kids today if asked whom fought in the war of 1812 they would look at You like dumb idiots. I spent the afternoon teaching My child what money is and how trade was conducted before money was invented and of coarse She didn't know. You would think education on MONEY would be the most important thing to learn but amazingly enough no one is taught about it in high school. The whole point is school is just friggin brainwashing propaganda to keep the population dumbed down so they can be ruled over. Isn't it the teachers whom told us to go to college and get a good job? Shouldn't We have been taught instead to get a skill then start a business?

And that is fine. But they should understand the the protections afforded by the U.S. Constitution are meant to protect the speech we disagree with, to allow it to be said. After all, what one person considers acceptable speech may differ from someone else with an opposing position. That is one of the things about being an adult is supposed to be about. And these students are not kids anymore. They are legal adults, and should behave as such.
