If you had pinworms and you are itching you would definitely see them by now. I had the little parasites three times as a kid, I was a horrible nail biter. If you have little kids around then you could possibly get them, if not, I would say it was something else.

They sound worse then they are, they just give you a pill to flush them out and then another a couple of weeks later for the eggs.

a reply to: Watcher777 This is good to know, because I keep looking for something and not seeing anything that looks like worms. I have checked in the middle of the night more than once because I keep reading they come out at night. I think it's a mild fungus case from taking antibiotics for a month.
Thank you very much for the reply.😊

a reply to: Bluesma Thank you for the reply Bluesman. I'm truly hoping its not pinworms and my itchy problem is some sort of yeast/Candida issue from taking antibiotics for a month after a tick bite and what I think I saw earlier upon self inspection is from bad lighting.
I'm pretty sure any human treatment here in the states is going to be prescription only, but I'm going to ask the doc about it, if I can just go to a pharmacy and find something over the counter. I'm also going to look into natural things I can do from time to time for prevention and upkeep.

You "finally" inspected yourself? "Bad lighting?"

How often are you taking a shower? Shouldn't you be cleaning and inspecting yourself daily? I'm seriously not trying to be offensive, but with statements like these no wonder you're in the state you are!

If you're unable to care for yourself at these basic levels I don't think you should have animals..

a reply to: TinkerHaus Getting a flashlight and mirror to 'inspect myself'' isn't something I do everyday. I have had itching before down below and it was usually the fault of hair shedding after a shower and my hair is fairly long ending up somehow after a shower in my lower region.
I have grown up and lived in in drought areas my whole life, so.. 3 to 4 showers a week.
When I inspected my cat for worms, my itching feeling along with my mindset of just seeing worms on my cat, prompted me to grab a flash light and mirror and yes it was still bad lighting and well embarrassing as it is, I think I saw a bit of toilet paper thinking it was a worm...I don't shower after every toilet use... do you? Nice you have lots of rain where you are that after every toilet use you can hop in the shower.
As for every nice person who posted and helped me to figure things out thank you, the doctors said I don't have worms. I'm suspecting after a month of antibiotics, my body produced some mild fungus and I am feeling better after using a body wash with tea tree oil in it, plus the all over itching is better thanks to an antihistamine I was prescribed.

a reply to: Brotherman Thanks Brotherman for checking in, I just got the results yesterday and things are okay... no worms they say. I think after taking antibiotics for a month, I was experiencing some mild fungus... something like jock itch and a body wash with tea tree oil has been making things normal again.
Read my reply to TinkerHaus for more embarrassing details.

I just want to thank everyone again for their help with the worm issue, I've been told yesterday I don't have worms, but upon checking with a local shop, they have natural solutions that include the herbs mentioned by the nice posters on this thread and if I need the remedies in the future, I'm going to take them.. or just do a bi-yearly parasite/de-worming on my own as a precaution... starting soon I'm going to be doing a bow kit cleanse and will most likely add a tincture of the parasite/de-worming herbs just to be sure the doctors didn't miss anything. After the regular cleanse, i'm going to do a box kit of Candida cleanse and totally cut out sugar and dose down on more probiotic.
Antibiotics have there place, but in my opinion, can wreak havoc in small and large amounts on the system and taking them for long periods as I did for a tick bite, is when I started itching all over and in-between... even after a shower.

I got scabies once and that really sucked it was because I had to make some welds in an enclosure that was rat infested. That really really sucked but I got paid to not go to work for almost a month due to infectious hazards at the shop. The boss used to swing by on his way home to have a beer and keep me sped up on what was going on so it wasn't always bad but ill never forget the scratching. And I didn't mean to pry you for embarrassing details, irl your probably a really rad person.

a reply to: Brotherman You are a rad person! I was freaking out about this and am glad I was able to discuss human problems like an adult with the kind people of ATS, even though this stuff is embarrassing to me. Just by being able to talk about it, it helped my anxiety over the issue from keeping me from having severe paranoia and over thinking things on my lonesome.
I had scabies in my early twenties once and it was a horrible itch on my arm. Luckily there was a place that gave free cream out for people without insurance at the time. You had a really cool boss to come by and check on you and fill you in on things. The skin is a huge organ and still susceptible to strange things happening... heck for a second I wondered if I had Morgellens... that weird thing on your skin doctors can't seem to figure out and sometimes if not always think it's all in a persons head.
Thanks again Brotherman for being nice.

Lol you don't to need to thank me for being nice, oddly enough I'm mega hungover right now and I'm not grumpy in the slightest. Then again I'm also painting a ninja turtle and ninja turtles are always Zen

Checking for eggs in stool now and trying to remember what one has eaten.
I have been reading up on carrot eating good for this condition
I have a tincture with several herbs that have been mention in this thread.
Will post more info another time
For now I am earning carrots for concern and prevention or measure taken.
Thank you!
