Care Packages From the Mod Gods

Care packages from the Modes.

This is in response to the donation or paying for the site for less ads or whatever it was.

I give you a simple solution to making money and actually thinking about the Posters, I give you care packages from the Mods.

A Bronze care package will consist of 20 stars, and one applauds and other little things that you can add, like one big star, etc etc. all for one buck!

A Silver Care package will consist of 30 or more stars; two applauds two big stars and whatever else. Just for 2 bucks

A Gold Care package will consist of 50 stars five applauds three big stars and whatever else that you would like to add all for 5 bucks.

The platinum care package 10 bucks

The ABOVE TOP SECRET CARE PACKAGE. 20 bucks

The stars in these care packages can be used in multiples’ if the poster wants to use all 50 stars on one poster then go ahead, if 5 why not ,why not give this poster 10 stars it was a good thread.

Even if the mod will not applaud it, I will, here is an applaud.

Create one big star and the poster have to fill them in to make it complete.

In addition, if you want to, have signature stars and flags for a dolor a month or included in the care package throw some trophies into the mix bronze, Gold Silver and Platinum and an ATS Trophy.

You will also have to cater to….the dark side.

Care packages that consist of skulls and bones on flags, flags with vomiting, flags with middle fingers, flags with double middle fingers and instead of applause you should have ghost saying boo to that thread, tomatoes for people that just want to throw something at the thread and what ever else you can think of .

The only thing is, you should start the entire star and flag system from scratch ERASE EVERBODY, because it looks sloppy and flawed to be honest and it will be fair to the newbie’s and middle newbie’s

Give your posters the power of the mods, give them the ability to star multiple times, give your posters the power of applauds and pirate flags and whatever else you can think of. Give your posters the power to be Demi Mods,lol

Ps I realm jumped into several scenarios’ when it comes to making money that will fit both sides and make both sides happy with out losing traffic, respect or to other forums. I re jumped last night just to make sure and 2 scenarios.. 1 in which you will chose will …well, this is my idea, it's fun, the posters have a little something extra for a buck or 2 ,and you won't be hearing THIS FOR ETERNITY

So you can top load posts; some post gets 52 stars by only 2 readers - If you're going to do that why even have a star system as it will not be reflective of any true measure of quality on a per reader basis.

Neat idea but I have earned all of my accolades and would be super bummed if that all got erased. Some of those star earning gold nuggets were very rare moments for me.

Maybe if something is left behind to reflect past stars.

I think different colored stars used for different reasons would be cool! Like one for a wise post, one for a funny post, the tomatoes for poor posts, ect.......


Eta: ATS: I would love to contribute $ but I've been out of a job for five months. I may be getting hired today though! If so I could drop a five or ten spot after a bit.

Given the magnitude of registered members here; I think a couple dollars a year is appropriate.

I think maybe there should be a separate section for this kind of activity. You have RATS, and BTS. You could have PFS, the pay for stars section.

People come to ATS for a myriad of reasons. Stars and Flags don't carry a lot of weight for many ATS regulars, and allowing a pay for stars system, may put a good number of people off.

I would rather take my chances on making it fun and entertaining for the posters then to asking to pay...for nothing.
