Every time you turn on the TV you se people smoking? Really? I cannot at all recognize that.


As of 2015 there were 409 scripted TV-shows in the U.S. That means that there must be at the very least 2000 characters. You must then see a lot of smoking characters.

But you have mention three that smokes. Three.

Could you ad to that a handful more characters that smoke? If not, I really must remain skeptical that you indeed see smoking every time you turn on the TV..

Smoking on television or in films was never banned, I think you might be confusing the tobacco advertising ban which went into effect in 1971.
