Vanishing cars

Have you ever been out driving around, and had a car around you vanish? I'm not talking about "poof it's just gone" right in front of your eyes. I'm speaking of while driving on the road, and another car was in your proximity for awhile, same relative speed, next lane over, or behind you, then the next time you check the mirrors the other car is not there, and you don't recall seeing it exit.
