I am guessing that that meant "Einstein superceded Newton". What does that have to do with a Flat Earth though? It seems as if you are saying that anybody who is against the Flat Earth theory is against it because they haven't thought about it or checked it out. What makes you say that, do you think people simply argue from a point of ignorance?

You're not clever for considering the flat earth theory, nor are you thinking outside the box.

Galileo thought outside the box, Einstein thought outside the box. Flat earthers do not even compare, they're not even in the same universe.

The arrogance and ignorance to even compare is catastrophically laughable.

Study up a little bit on Astronomy. Learn about what the ecliptic is and the celestial equator. Or how how people were able to determine the circumference of the Earth a long time ago using shadows and trigonometry. Learn about what a solstice is.

Einstein was not thinking outside the box. He his vast knowledge to come up with new theories. You can be sure he wasn't just sitting there and thinking "ok...what if the earth was triangular and the air was pure neon..let's go with that".

Plus he could back up his theories with maths. You cant even use school grade maths to show that the Earth is round..so please please do not assume that you are thinking like Einstein did.

Than shouldn't the onus be on science to prove its not turtles? I want to see the area below the bottom of our planet. An no CGI please.

I've seen lots of proof on this thread for an "oblate spheroid" earth shape but not a great deal of proof for the flatness thing. Even Wikipedia (yes, I know) says:

In the modern era, belief in a flat Earth has been expressed by isolated individuals and groups, but no scientists of note

I'd start by asking pilots. Is there anyone in professional aviation or maritime who feel the earth is flat? Discounting for a minute of course all that which science has shown.

I'm beginning to think it's triangular and front to back...........

Wow. Can't say you don't learn things on ATS. I thought turtles didn't have shoulders so I had to look it up. It seems they do, but under their rib cage. So "shoulder to shoulder turtle" would be very tight indeed.

I was not agreeing with the poster, I know 'simple' geometry my spaced friend.

So if your high horse now, today then I was merly pointing out science as a study not saying the earth is flat.
