For some reason this genre has been fascinating to me lately - Perhaps it's because I recently got married and don't have as much time to just sink into games, not sure!

What are your favorite games of this genre, fellow ATS members?

Adventure Capitalist had me hooked for a while

Clicker Heroes had me for a few days...

Soda Dungeon was alright for a bit

But.. I don't know, I feel like there's likely games with .. more. Not just Multiplying numbers and such, but extra functionality based on resetting the games, something to look forward to, etc..

Also, if you don't mind telling me whether you enjoy it on Android, IOS, or PC.

Learn 2 Fly Idle
Pingy the Ping Idle RPG
Cosmic Clicks
Idle Mine

I find myself enjoying those idle games a lot. You'll find them on Kongregate on the PC.

They're on the website Kongregate on the PC.

I also forgot to mention an idle game called Reactor Idle. That is one of the most in depth idle games I've ever played.

xD I was just playing Cookie Clicker 2 the other day - Pretty fun! Different flavors of cookies, cookie making machines and such, ha - Pretty fun game for such a basic concept really.

I guess I've been away from gaming too long...

What's an "incremental" or "idle" game?

Idle is basically where the game goes on, even while you're gone. So Lemonade tycoon idle - You'd be selling lemonade even if your device was off - You log back on, and the money is there, and you can invest into more stands or whatever and play on.

Incremental is just how it sounds - It gets more and more. Think a lemonade stand without boundaries - You can start selling 10x8.534e50 or whatever lemonades a day. Often in these games, you can sell your entire business to be able to reinvest, start over - But with bonuses.

Many games will combine both of these elements together.

Have you tried A Dark Room? It's a very interesting web browser game. I would suggest not reading too much about as to not spoil the experience

??? I don't have different flavor cookies? WTH?

I just started playing it last week. I haven't decided to ascend yet so maybe that's why I only have chocolate chip...

I try out random ones here and there. I have played Godville for over a year. It is on Android and iOS, and you can also play in browser.

It has a long standing community, guilds, and is an mmorpg...kinda. They call it a zero player game.

You can do nothing but check progress now and then..and your Hero does everything by him/herself, or you can be active.

You are a God, and your hero does weird quests and builds a temple in your honor...then an ark...and you can restore as a trader.

It is incredibly detailed, and the game is funny and full of both pop culture and obscure gamer/nerd/techie obscure references.

So go on dungeon raids and PvP...or check in once as week...

Text based, by the way...no graphics exactly. Fun community forums and wiki too. Can add friends or not, doesn't spam social media, and no money needed at all though you can waste cash if you want (as usual).

Been around 5+ years...no real drawbacks being a new player though...interactions in PvP are evened out no matter levels.
