Oh check this out, looks like spiderman has been working with private interests to get his websling into a launcher for those pesky nosy drones. Haha, man does it look effective too!

A quirky shoulder-mounted anti-drone device due to hit the market later this year looks like it’s been inspired by the exploits of Spiderman.

The SkyWall defense system uses a ‘compressed gas-powered launcher and an intelligent projectile’ which deploys a net to engulf the drone and disable it. A parachute is also attached to ensure the ‘aerial threat’ can be recovered intact for examination.

Oh man, I cannot wait for the pranksters to start using these in public parks just for #s and giggles! Maybe another application for this is for emergency responders to safely dissuade suiciders from jumping from high places? Imagine someone catching them mid flight during a jump. Maybe they will have a few fractures, but they may still live. This sure is going to be a fun toy.

Whats its range? The graphic you provide show a drone so close I could hit it by throwing a ball.

Is interesting, but why not just fit with emf laser ring ray that expands in ring motion at its target to maximize contact range? Sees drone group in say 10 mile expanded ring maximum radius-contacts redirects or controls groups landings/malfunctions...

What a ridiculous looking contraption. Has to be the largest hand held projectile launcher ive ever seen.

Good question, and here is the answer!

The system, which has a range of 328 feet, uses a high-tech scope to lock on to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

I am sure your not throwing 100yard touchdown passes in any case. The range of this device would put it right within the maximum operating ceiling for any civilian registered drone in the USA lawfully being operated under FAA regulations. No more having to deal with lawsuits from angry perverts spying on your teenage daughter over your private property when you shoot it with a shotgun. Just use your this spidey launcher.

This thing sounds very expensive though mainly due to the tracking and lock on software.
