Environmental Movement Hijacked And Turned Into A Human-Hating Cult

This guy seems to be genuine. In spite of the claims made to the contrary it seems his story is factual. Although a former friend considers him a sell-out, they say the story of his involvement at the start of Greenpeace is true. Various sources confirm his story.

The most basic message I get from this is the environmental movement was hijacked and turned into a human-hating cult. This is obvious when people express their opinion that humans are a curse to the Earth.

When discussing human fatalities due to deer on the road I was told it would be better if the deer were here and we weren't. No balance concerning the fact there are now more deer in the British Isles than at any time since the ice age, and we've removed the predators and have to take their place in creating balance.

Any thoughts?

I came to the conclusion a ong time ago, all campaign poltics is an elaborate excuse for hating other people and feeling virtuous about doing so.

The environmental movement has always held an appeal for the profoundly misanthropic; however, the movement as a whole seeks to integrate humanity with its environment in a mutually beneficial way.

Contempt for science, no. That's why the climate zealots try to 'shred' dissenting voices. They want to present the appearance of having science on their side, when actually all they have are flawed computer models.

Contempt for good intentions, possibly. Especially when 'good intentions' include preventing third-world economies from developing their energy resources and suppressing the development of their populations. Especially when tax dollars subsidize non-competitive 'green energy' and prevent true innovation that could make new energy sources truly viable.

Back in the days when Green Peace formed there was still sentiment about such issues as environmental pollution, wildlife and health.

Issues such as the War in Vietnam, Chemical spraying of pesticides like DDT, saving whales, seals and owls, chopping down old growth forests. People got behind this stuff, these issues were of a personal nature, specific and focused.

Nowadays the issues are vague. Jet exhaust (insert pet argument), Global warming or Climate change…

How does one effectively protest about the stratosphere, the weather, melting ice or sea levels, lol?

Thats why these issues are promoted. For or against, take your side, bicker endlessly.

Meanwhile millions die in endless wars, burdensome debt, pollution and poverty.

If you want to know the true agenda of an activist group you simply need to find out who funds them.

that is the punch line for me. carbon credit scams, unrealistic lines in the sand and suffocating regulations and penalties on world powers that aren't even the bulk of the global problem cannot be considered "good intentions".

Save for those indigenous people of the forest that await the space brothers to come save the rain forest ect. They get the poison for their weapons from frog juice and stuff. They shrink heads.....but don't use hot water from nuclear reactors to do it.

Science and logic no longer held sway.

That is from the video, and man, that is true for a lot of "movements" these days. It always sounds good, and the science that is used can be shown to be verifiable, but it's hardly the whole picture, and when logic is applied overall, the movement is seen for what it is--the use of sensationalism, misinformation, and fear.

He's not just describing the evolution of Greenpeace and environmentalism, but many branches of 'activist science.'

I only wish the extremist's intense hatred of mankind incuded themselves enough for them to "be the change they want to see in the world" and lead by example in ridding the earth of their own little bit of "human cancer".
