Dollar Tree Canned Meats - A Review

Dollar tree has a lot of stuff of the same quality as what is sold Safeway but 2-3 times cheaper. Like, for example, the pickles, that are produced in China or India.

Things I get at Dollar Tree:

Dish Soap
Any kind of food container with lid
Glass beer steins
Kitchen utensils
Everyday use plates
OTC Meds (as many as I can, simply a steal here)
All kinds of hair stuff for the girls (bands, ties, clips, etc.)
Ice Cream (they have italian ice, fudge bars, orange creamcicles, etc. all are tasty)
Canned shredded chicken (it's actually not bad, but mostly as an "if I need it" food)

As for paper products, I generally get these cheaper at the grocery store (get the store brand, which is decent), and get more bang for the buck (like twice as much, for only half more than dollar tree)

I can't remember all the brands,but most of the canned meats aren't TOO bad,as long as your open to anything..I've tried most of the spam and treat type meats,canned danish ham,etc...nothing to write home about,but edible.The worst was the canned chicken,like tuna,but WAY too salty! I rinse it off with water before I do anything with it.

Is it only the "OLD CHUM" brand that works for bottom feeders ?

Oooh Good Idea. I will have to buy some canned meats next time to add to my survival kit.

I love the Dollar Store !!! I go regularly and so far I get the following:

Snacks For Kids School Lunches:
Chewy Bars
Fruit & Grain Bars
Raisins
Swiss Rolls
Oatmeal Creme Cookies

Snacks for Everyone:
Fudge Graham Square Cookies - yum yum yum
Fudge Striped Shortbread Cookies - yum yum yum

Canned Items
Field Peas and Snaps
Canned Fruit - this time I'm trying the canned Mango Slices
Chile Jalapenos

Cleaning Supplies:
Laundry Detergent

Other:
Ziploc Baggies
Plastic Wrap
Foil Wrap

School Supplies for the kids when needed

I don't think we'd survive without a Dollar Store...
