Sounds like good money to me! I've heard / read that the best teachers can get £60-65k based on performance, not too bad at all.

I also wonder who decides what is "extremist material", it wasn't that long ago that we had our elected members of parliament, from all sides of the house, standing in front of others, compelling them to vote to airstrike Syria i.e. kill people - that sounds pretty extreme in one way, should the local constabulary be informed when people go onto the Conservative or Labour websites?

And how does UKIP get classed as extremism?
The answer lies in the mindset of those people who have been using the label "Fascist" for decades to describe anyone who isn't a socialist.

Bet ya the teacher was a labour voter.

The problem with US style lazy left-right thinking is it misses the some obvious points.

It's the teaching unions, led by the leftie NUT, who are fighting this policy and the Tories who are supporting it.

Besides, it wouldn't be just one teacher. Chances are it's a young, inexperienced teacher reporting to a young, inexperienced manager who erred on the side of caution. It's what you get when you cheapen a profession so much that all the experience staff leave.

Maximum for a classroom teacher in London is about 45k.

That's for a 60 - 70 hour working week.

Factoring in the holidays, a teacher at the top of the upper pay scale takes home about £15 an hour.

Teachers lower down get around £10 an hour. In London.

If teaching is so cushy, why has the recruitment crisis built up to breaking point?

I really feel for our English forefathers. Without England, the United States would not exist. We get a lot of our culture from England (I just read that Bacon and Eggs originated in England) - but the country is going down the #ter. I don't understand how the Police are getting called on Children for visiting a political party's website that progressives dislike.

If this isn't indoctrination, Progressives, please tell me what is.

Wow, that is weird. Where the hell does this madness end? Makes me glad that no matter what my kids will learn in school, I check, fact check and set the record straight for them.

Home schooling does not have to be exclusive as a singular type of education not compatible with traditional schooling. If you can get your kids to handle the workload, send them to regular school, and then home school them.

Best way to keep the state off your ass, and keep the stupid out of your kids minds

Also, this way they SEE for themselves what is being done to them. Seeding some rational thought to classmates is also a plus. LOL
