And a non-democratic one at that. And yes I agree with your comments

Former Bank of England governor, Lord King calls on the British government to prepare for a 'No Deal' Brexit.
"The UK has to be ready to leave and trade on WTO arrangements as the US does, as China does. The European Union is a political construct and they have political objectives. The idea that we're going to get soft treatment from the rest of the EU is false."
Time to take the bull by the horns .... we're leaving and the 'bully boys'
of Europe have no hold on us, they are acting as if we are prisoners and not
a part of a union, which has decided to leave.
Unions break up ..... prisoners are held on too
Agree! And on the pensions that should be the EU's problem.

It's pretty stupid offering an amount of money.
If the EU thinks we owe them money, then they should give us an itemised bill so we know why we need to pay this fee.
I don't mind paying for what we owe and including the membership fee's till we leave. We should also move all the British EU pensions onto our books, but maybe try and reduce them if that's legally possible, as they are possibly the most generous pension packages in the World.

Here’s what Theresa May would say in Florence – if she really cared about Britain

*It is well known that Mrs May is a huge admirer of Margaret Thatcher and models herself on her style of government*
I think that TM agrees with BJ but is treading a careful line dangling a small carrot to the EU and if they don't take it she may well become much firmer which is the way to go. I have thought all along that TM was a closset supporter of BREXIT but played cool on the back foot when HS so as not to damage her chances of becoming PM. A hard BREXIT is still on the cards and f..k the EU!

If that is true she had better start being *The lady thats not for turning*
PDQ. and stop dithering ....
People can say what they like about Margaret Thatcher .... but she was the only
person who has ever stood up to the EU bureaucrats, and got anywhere with
them
Concur!

She has a new book out called 'What happened'
In summary, a lot of moaning and blaming everyone else for her failure.
Don't forget she only just beat Bernie Sanders to the Democratic Party ticket.

This means screw the UK working class voter! Even though he knows that the huge majority voted BREXIT!

Totally agree! I am surprised he took the risk of saying this. Surely a lot of Labour voters will be quite unhappy about this. He wants to be the PM but happy to counter a democratic vote by not dismissing the possibility of a 2nd referendum. So much for respecting the UK electorate and particularly Labour voters. How could he be trusted to support Labour voter wishes as the PM. he will never be PM!! The whole Labour leadership needs to change for some young blood that can appeal to the majority of the electorate!

I once thought he was one of the most principled politicians we have regardless whether you agreed with him or not. Now I think he is one of the least principled.
