Is there normal human kindness?

Seems to be a rarity to me... though that is what the media wants people to believe

Yes, of course it is normal. That is why it is called human. When the human-kindness does not come,d that is not what is normal. And yes, this epic in which we have entered is not normal or humane.

perhaps said actions are weighed and counted against the opposite?

where would that leave faith... alone?

You will never know. As far as I understand. Perhaps that will change. But I don't know. If you do, it won't be soon.

He will not know. He has resisted in his injustice and hatred.

Jack Ak is a good guy far as I can tell. He is knowledgeable about Christianity more than most Christians and he isn't even religious.

Slander is a sin.

That is pretty much how the Bible was approached by me. God has revealed more truth applicable to me by coming to his word in prayer and humbleness than any attempt to find plain truth or inconsistencies.

After having read many versions of the Bible for 11 years I was given a bible as a gift, it was the Authorized Version with a challenge to read it. I never had one, I was always told it was to difficult to read. I came to that new Bible with humbleness, I said, "Lord if this is your preserved word then reveal to me your truths for my life and verify your words to my heart."

I took one year to read it through (though I read the NT through 5 times during that time also). At the end I was convinced it was the Preserved word of God to our generation. I learned more from that Bible in the last 14 years than I had the whole previous 11 years combined. I use and read only that version of the Bible now.

I love Gods word as found in his promised preserved text.

I also gave up two years ago from not reading any man's Bible commentaries and writings on scripture. I am sticking just to the scriptures. I found there were some doctrines we were taught in Seminary that were just not consistent with the Bible. But these have caused some that I shared it with to shun me, called me names and told others I was a follower of certain men.

I just want to apologize for that persons behavior in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. No Christian is to judge or condemn, because they know they are no better than any other person. Please accept my humble apologies for such deplorable behavior. If you ever need anything feel free to ask.

How is it, that you congratulate yourself for your wisdom in understanding the words of God? As if by your own power you were able to grasp the mind of God! Your wisdom is nothing before God, God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are.

Don't think by your self proclaimed wisdom, that you can strong arm your way into the Throne of Grace. One man reads the Bible with intent to get closer to God, and grows farther away from HIM, and one man reads the Bible with the intent of disproving God, and finds himself a believer.

God bestows His grace upon whomever He chooses. It is a gift from God, and not under your own power so that no man can boast.

As for your treatment of Akragon, it is against the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is no more a sinner than you, and God did not make you judge and jury of the whole world, judgement is in His Hand, not your own. Judge not, lest ye be judged by the measure in which you measure.

Judgement is for those within the church, not those without, they are in God's hand. And remember, If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.

That is all I have to say. I pray you will give it some thought.

It was never by our own poser but by the Power of the Holy Ghost in us.

"By their fruits you shall know them"

You did read the post to which I replied? You can read it over again if you like, it's full of what appears to be false humility, ("I say this not to brag" [while bragging] ) and stating he could understand the bible before he became a believer, because his approach to it was better - more heartfelt if you will.

If it was the Holy Spirit and the power of the Holy Spirit, why did he not give credit to the Spirit? Why did he give himself the credit (better approach) rather than God (HE opened my heart and gave me understanding)?

All testimonies that I know from Spirit filled believers, give God the credit and not self, and in their testimonies God is always given the credit, and you see in their stories the beauty and absolute Grace of God. They bring tears to your eyes because you see in them God's power and Grace.

Not; 'I had a more heartfelt approach to reading the bible and if you want to understand then just have a better approach'. This isn't a story of God, nor His Grace, nor the Power of the Holy Spirit. No matter how many times he tries for humility - its falsehood is clearly seen.

And, in case his story wasn't enough to convince you of this, then his behavior sure should be. Jesus said pick up your cross and follow me. The same Jesus who ate with sinners and gave his very definite (and negative) opinion of those self righteous Pharisees and Sadducee, said if we are His then we will follow him. Emulate Him.

By their fruits you shall know them.

His behavior toward Akragon was horrid, demeaning, even hateful. And how horrible that anyone should say "Christians always treat me like this, I am used to it!"

How are we representing Christ here? How is anyone seeing the love of Christ in us? How are we showing the Grace of God that is not from us, when we give ourselves credit and not God in our speech?

To me, that is more abhorrent than someone who is gay, than someone who had an abortion, than someone who is a drug addict to be honest - they are just lost and at least don't blame it on God. If we call ourselves Christians, and propose to show Christ to the lost, then we had better actually follow Christ, or find ourselves being rejected of Christ on the day of our judgement.

I don't believe anything so I can get something for it.
But I would like to help you understand that the prize isn't
Heaven in the first place. The prize, the reward I seek is God.
