Underground base?

I spent the everning watching the resident evil movies and i wondered....is there any underground bases as depicted in these films?

For those like me that know nothing of the resident evil movies what type of bases are they? What purpose do they serve? Who occupies them? Etc�..

its about a corporation using an underground base(the hive) to experiment with genetics,they create a virus that reanimates dead cells.....im just interested,is there anything below us to watch out for,not just above

I always thought a video game called "Dulce Wars" would be cool. It would be like you're in a huge underground base and you have to make it out with proof of the base without getting killed.

Rumor has it that under Great Falls Montana, lies one of the largest underground military storage facilities. Don't konw about any medical testing, but used mostly for storage.

If you do some research on the Dulce base in New Mexico, there are several stories and theories about the work that is being conducted in thsi underground base.

I was at my grandparents farm recently in upstate New York and they were away and I was rather bored. So, I walked around and investigated the property and noticed a trap door on the floor in the barn. I opened it and there was a set of stairs that eventually led to a landing with an elevator. I got in the elevator and there were no buttons to push, it just immediately started to descend and it seemed like forever before it stopped and the doors opened.

I found myself at the entrance to what appeared to be some sort of military facility, although I did not recognize the uniforms. I was immediately apprehended and taken to a sort of conference room and locked in. Some time later a group of people came in and asked me what I was doing there? I proceeded to ask them the same thing. It turns out that my grand parents were once members of the CIA and forced to live atop this facility and keep outsiders out and keep anyone from learning about the facility.

They escorted through the facility where I met some pretty interesting people: Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Amelia Earheardt, all the missing people from the Bermuda Triangle, Elvis, Jim Morrison, Ghandi, Jimmy Hoffa, etc.

And it's weird but Santa Claus was also there and they were all making toys??
