Hacked Images From Israel's Drone Fleet

"British and American spies collected live video from Israeli drones as part of a classified program code-named “Anarchist,” which operated from a mountaintop listening post on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Among the files provided by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden are a series of “snapshots” from Israeli drone feeds, which offer a rare glimpse at the closely guarded secret of Israel’s drone fleet."

Some hacked images show ground attacks.

This blurred image was recorded on August 25, 2009, the same day that news agencies reported that the IDF bombed a smuggler tunnel in Gaza, killing three Palestinians inside. According to an Anarchist document, the signal was “too poor to process” further.

These are hacks done by British and U.S. intelligence. The implication is that they know that Israel does the things uncovered in the hacked images, for instance bombing the smuggling tunnel with Palestinians inside. It reminds me of how much money the U.S. gives to Israel (8 million dollars a day) and while I don't pretend to be a foreign policy buff, it stands to reason that this is what the money pays for, and to what end.
When I see images or video of drones doing their dirty business, (as I see it, killing using drones is pretty much dirty business... surveillance not so much) it makes me reflect that I am a citizen of a country which wages war using drones and has "pilots" sitting in comfortable rooms thousands of miles away from the "target".

The face of war is ever changing. From riding on horseback to flying in plane, to piloting them unmanned. I wouldn't be surprised if in a decade new technology will make our current ways of fighting outdated.

While I don't doubt Israel has been spying on America and Britain, it's interesting to see how modern spies employ their tactics. Even though the pictures are not the best quality it's eye opening how pilots from their computers can guide these unmanned planes to their targets; though they have accidentally killed innocent people. Which is unfortunate.

eventually even our ground troops will be replaced by robots, horrible to think of robots killing people, but actually enticing the idea of both sides using robots, no human life loss, just a battle of who can afford the most robots.

Yeah, we already use robotics for a number of reasons in battle already. Still war has, and will, always be apart of human nature. People and nations fight for a number of reasons: territory, resources, etc. The way we fight might change, but it will be war nonetheless.

War is a tool, it transfers wealth to those at the top.

The first few images at the top of in the article are to blurry.Almost like they are trying to hide the presences of Civilians?
