I love a good iphone game and this is one of the best I've played in a long time...

I've never played the new Fallout games... they look like a blast!

I played the first few of the series back in the day though, and I always remembered the cartoon at the start of the game and between chapters...

This game is based around that cartoon in the series, and I have to say, this game is a lot of fun... kinda addictive...

Its like the sims based around the cartoon fallout environment

Free to play... but you need a decent phone

It might be on Cpu too idk...

Check it out if you get a chance...

I've been playing fallout shelter for about a month. I played a lot of the fallout games as well, just 3, new Vegas, and now 4 is taking up a lot of my gaming time.

It's really addicting, my wife is playing it too and she's really competitive lol. She's all about dwellers and vault size but I've got almost 200k caps and she can't come close to that.

Basically you act as the overseer in your vault, each dweller has s.p.e.c.i.a.l. stats that correspond to their effectiveness in a particular room or situation.
Rooms have many purposes, like generating power, food, water, stimpacks, radaway.

Periodically you are attacked by raiders from outside the vault and your dwellers must fend off the attack. You can also send dwellers out into the wasteland to search for weapons and armor, then equip your dwellers with those items.

The game has a really unique feel and is very well done imo. Cant wait to see where Bethesda takes it.

Well for myself I used to be a Quake, Duke3D and Doom kind of player being a PC user until I stumbled upon Morrowind which came bundled with a graphics card upgrade, since then I have been hooked on RPG's.

I never got around to playing the original fallout game's but have both fallout 3 and NV though I have yet to purchase fallout4

I have just been replaying Fallout 3 in the Nevada engine using a game mod called A TALE OF TWO WASTELANDS, they have there own site with plenty of mod conversions including DC interors and Rail Carriages taleoftwowastelands.com...

Here is the major modding site for these two older game's though there are some asian site's and private blog's out there as well.

Check out the screenshots but remember most of them are taken using heavily modded games.

If you have not played them then the graphics on these older versions of fallout is slightly dated (more so when it come's to character models and distance lod's) while the graphic's on fallout 4 are about state of the art for PC gaming at the moment (plenty of texture mod's on Fallout 4 Nexus and looking at that site there is a screen shot page to show what other's are doing with this newer game.

I know this is not Iphone gaming but what you see here today on the PC is yours tomorrow in the Iphone which is now more powerful than the PC I owned six years ago.

Thank's as well for getting me hooked on something else Fallout there goes more of my time.

LOL sorry but its soo good though.... IF you like games you have to check up on all the time

I can't get into FPS games anymore... it seems every game is FPS based these days, and I only game on PC and my iphone

The old Fallout games were third person overhead, when the series turned FPS I bailed on it

Actually, you can play the Fallout games in third or first person.

Depending on what it is I'm doing in the game, I'll switch back and forth between third person and first person views.
