Lockheed Martin loses NASA's science & Engineering service contrct to Jacob Sverdrup.

Dr. Bo Arnold, former global alliance manager for Jacobs Engineering, has been named manager of Jacobs Sverdrup's new five-year contract to provide engineering and science services at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Arnold has been with Jacobs Engineering 16 years and previously served in positions at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, Calif., and Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
Arnold will head a team of about 12 top-tier Jacobs Sverdrup personnel who will relocate to Houston to manage the contract that takes effect Feb. 1. Arnold's deputy manager will be astronaut Dr. Nancy Currie. She is an Army colonel currently managing NASA's Safety and Mission Assurance Office at Johnson Space Center. A veteran of four Space Shuttle missions, she has accumulated 1,000 hours in space between 1993 and 2002

Announcement that Jacobs Sverdrup had won the contract - with a potential value of $1.15 billion - was made by NASA in mid-December. The contract had been held by Lockheed-Martin for 42 years, a Jacobs Sverdrup spokesman said.
