Yea I refuse to let that happen. There is no way I am going to let them rewrite history here. I was appalled that our leaders had the gall to tell us "too big to fail" when it happened, and now they are trying to say it wasn't that big of a deal! Talk about a slap in the face.
It's stupid too, because Clinton is doing this to try to distinguish herself from the Bernie campaign. You know it couldn't kill you to have SOME issues you agree with your opponents on...
A large string of expletives are streaming across my eyeballs right now and I'm doing all I can to withhold typing them.

Sounds like they are taking a page from the Republican playbook in attacking Bernie. All this effort to distance themselves from the "Socialist" label. It's actually pretty sad. That word has to be the most misunderstood word in the country...

And an actual socialist like Sanders scares the crap out of both sides. This is especially true for the Democratic leaders because they've been playing the role of the "left wing progressives with good intentions that are too naive to get progressive policies passed". They always trot out the same BS reasons why we have to settle for some watered down, center-right "compromise". But Bernie and a potential wave of actual progressive & socialist candidates will expose them for what they really are. Hence, the stuff like what's in your OP.

I really hope you are right here. If anything though, this election is certainly a backlash of that alternating good cop bad cop dynamic. So if it's to be done, this election is the one to do it in.
