tiny square on site?

whilst browsing forums I notice a tiny white box very near the top, slightly to the right of the left margin. It is to the right of the twitter blurb. if the 'Colony' promo comes up, the box is just to the left of the -X- in the Colony upper left corner.
is this some sort of accidental graphic? or the signature of some kind of spyware?
or am I being parnoid?

I don't see a box. though, on the front page, above and just to the left of the X in the Colony ad, there is a tiny white dot. It seems to have no purpose. Can;t click on it.

that's it. looks hollow / like a box to me.

Invisible pixels. I have one on my site. It is used for cron triggering.

Could be for cookie preloading for adverts here?

More than likely just a functional pixel though.

It's the tiny drive-by-virus window popping up :-)

Lol, my bad. Plain english is it may just be a backend function to make the forum or advertising network, work effectively.

Only the overlord knows though.
