So...after an insanely LONG day at work...and then a not so quick trip to the grocery store...and then a not so quick trip to the liquor store...I
felt compelled to come home and type...I hope you enjoy and understand...
Happy New Year and be safe!
May the sweet memories live on in our hearts and
the bitter ones fade away just as the dying embers of the last fire tonight.
May we celebrate with those who remain here today and with fondness
carry, in our hearts, those who aren't into the next year.
Let’s be thrilled with the knowledge we have gained and look eagerly
to the mysteries that await us on the other side.
I hope to try to be kinder, more patient to those in need and
find more quality time with family, not consumed with greed.
Let’s keep looking to the skies and deep in the sea for who know
what we’ll find that may save you and me.
The past has shown us the ways not to go and the future is uncertain as we all know.
What if it’s discovered that love can cure, a touch can heal or we can change the world by just the way we feel?
Wouldn’t that be something if that was it all along?
If everyone was going about everything all wrong?
We shall look back on today and not much will have changed but
What if it did (change) what would you want to remain?
I will cry for the past and will celebrate the times to come.
I will dream for the day that pain and fear have gone.
Maybe this year will be the one I await that is only filled with joy
and peace… and not hate.
I heard in my mind after typing, "I'd like teach the world to sing"! LOL
My oldest daughter, after reading, asked me if I was high!
