I almost feel like this whole thing with Trump is a political setup to keep the Clinton's in power. Trump gets his greatest on TV role. Reps know they can't have him get the nomination. He runs as third party, splits the republican vote, Hillary wins. The only counter the Republicans can make is to have him their candidate, which would ruin the party in the long run. I feel like this whole thing is a big setup on the American People.

It will be the third election won by a Clinton due to a third party taking republican vote IMO.

Anyone else feel that way?

What's the difference between them anyway? The whole thing is rigged, it's political pro-wrestling. Whoever comes to White House is beholden to the true owners of the country, not people. No matter who becomes president, expect fewer jobs, lower wages, longer hours and more entertainment.

Don't ever base anything on fox poll. They use the phone book to call people it means they talk to people with land lines that never heard of cells. Rasmusin is pretty reliable in elections and they have them at a dead heat . And this is before the 100 million trumo had decided to spend on his campaign. He has the republicann nomination so who do you think he will spend that money attacking.

You mean the sham of "democracy" that we "participate" in? Of course, I've known that since childhood. Let me ask you, did you play any role in "choosing" the candidates that got on the ballot?

That is a common theory because while Trump is popular with part of the GOP he is repulsive to everybody else. Nothing would galvanize the opposition than Trump in the GOP spot. Most Americans are moderates and they would turn out in droves to make sure Trump was beat. It would be a crushing defeat that could lead to the death of the GOP which is why they are so desperate to get rid of him.

When you look at his recent past of being Hillary supporter, donating to her campaign, praising her, bashing on Bush Jr, and singing Obama's praises it is easy for people so see something nefarious in his sudden change of heart. However, this is Trump. He will say anything to get attention. And he does not expect to be held to what he says because he is Trump.

I heard someone say that Hilliary would step away if Trump won the GOP nomination - for the reasons you are stating. i.e. the masses would come out in force to stop Trump, but maybe not if he was running against Hilliary. Trump has the balls to literally drag out all of hers and her husbands dirty washing through the election process. I have no doubt that America would be wrapped in scandal for months and years to follow. The theory was they would find another candidate if it looked like Trump was going to win. The truth or not of that is not far away as we approach the primaries.

As for Trump runnig independent, I still think he might, depending on how things go in the early primaries. I think he has up to Sept 2016 to get all his ballot papers completed to run as an independent?

Yeah. The future looks pretty bleak for you guys. Eight years of Hillary and/or Bernie, Obama appointed to the Supreme Court.

I remember when the Democrat party was in tatters, I was a republican then. Republicans can't say for decades how they are the party of smaller government then make thousand of laws affecting the individual, mostly women. State level all the way to Fed. I liked it in the 70's when you could buy property, an acre on up and no restrictions on sq footage. Now it is five acres and 1000 sq footage. Why haven't the small government party been stopping laws like that instead of constantly losing the Obamacare repeal? Add: Something has to be done about affordable property and jobs. Why won't they change the tax structure and give corp the lower tax rate and see if they return it with jobs. Why won't they vote to get us out of war and reduce our budget by trillions? These are the policies republicans are suppose to stand for.
