Honestly, the issue is that the kids are forced to change with each other to begin with.

I can't say I don't empathize somewhat with the girls that feel uncomfortable but Student A, the transgender girl, is not parading around with exposed genitals, which would be horrifically embarrassing for her if not strongly psychologically damaging in most cases. Transgender kids face tremendous hardships and deal with things most people can't even begin to imagine. They only want to be treated as the people they are and not reduced to their physical anomalies.

How about some of these high school trans girls for perspective? Boy's locker room? Yeah right.















Not quite so "easy" to figure out what to do, is it?

The thing I find most hilarious - and tragic - is that this isn't an issue with the children. It's an issue with the parents, the culture. I could raise five children to feel perfectly fine with changing in a room with transgender people. With the opposite sex. I could raise the males to not find breasts attractive. I could raise them to think that fat and sweaty is the pinnacle of beauty.

It's not the children. It's us.

Normal children should not have to worry about the wrong people being in the bathroom or the locker room.

The issue is injecting sex and potential sex partners into the game.

Anytime you have that it's bad. It's bad enough when everyone can pretend that no one else is a potential sex partner because we're all the same gender (even though we know some of us might be lesbians). If you have the open lesbian, it gets harder; you may not see here as a potential sex partner, but how does she see you? Having the trans person gets a bit harder still. Like it or not, we are visual people and you can tell a person all you like that the naked boy in their shower room is a girl, but her eyes and her hormones (pheromones even) see boy and react accordingly.

Reality says there is a named boy in there and the response is the same.

And you want all this to happen while girls and boys are still working on dealing with how to handle being naked in front of their own gender?

Yeah, good luck with that.

It's all subjective. All perspective. Just because yours differs from mine does not make either of us more correct than the other; you simply refuse to accept that this is the case.
