I read that and yes, the Empire that is know as the US of America is a nothing but a dying empire on debt, to keep the appearances of been a wealthy nation, all at the expenses of the tax payer, in the mean time the government keep playing nanny to illegal immigrants, foreign refugees and terrorist countries, no money for borders but millions to pay for illegals and refugees and to support countries with ties to terrorism.

And for the increase on federal workers, I have to laugh, because my husband got an 11 thousand dollar cut in pay this year, so those that are getting the raise are those that works hourly and are on minimum wages.

The irony.

Why are we paying federal taxes again?...

The last time I check was to pay for the increase in wealth fare, illegal immigrants, refugees and free health care for all of the above.

I guess tough luck for those on disability, and social security since they got bumpkis for 2016.

Can the president EO an increase in SS and disability benefits? I thought that was congress' job. Federal employees work for the president, he can raise their pay...but entitlement programs don't fall under his purview.

Or am I wrong?

You do understand the national average for wages is around $54K, and you're grousing about that amount right now.

Who cares what the national average is, 50% of the workforce makes less than 30k year according to BLS.

That number is more important than any average.

Well he does have his magic pen, and he does have his mighty phone.

All he had to do was call up Reid or whoever and tell them to add funds to that trillion dollar crapulus bill.
