Actually vera, though I might have sounded flippant with my first reply, I can appreciate what you are considering. In a reincarnational sense I suppose we are free to believe whatever we WANT to believe. Me, I often contemplate a possible future life as a Redwood Tree. Don't laugh, I do. I like to imagine centuries and centuries of standing tall and firm, swaying in the winds of the great northwest just experiencing the turn of the seasons, the wild rains and fresh springs. When I say future life, why not? Then again, maybe I have spent time as a Redwood. Who knows.

For me though, the thing is is that it really matters not whether or not I have or will. Or been a famous King or a lowly pot scrubber, it matters not. However I have ended up in this life it can all only be interpreted from 'this life'. When I was young, I used to wonder about what I might have been as if it mattered. As if it should guide me or control who I am now. But I think that is chasing illusions. Illusions that I could know about those things that 'this life' seems to need to keep from us.

Because this life is for this life. I like to add in a little dreaming as that seems to take the edges off and keep me wondering about it all.

So anyway, I apologize if I offended you, but as I mentioned to Artistpoet later in the thread, you did just 'lay it out there' after all. Peace.

Yes it does not really matter...at all what or who we were in a past life, It only matters if we use it to help our current life.

Right now, in the moment, this life is the only thing that matters but it is fun to think about.

He immediately liked us and told us to sit down in his grotto (the little space he sets up in). We offered to move so he could get more customers but he said he would rather talk to us and not to worry. He just offered up this info along with other info. He also gave us little rings, necklaces and trinkets that he makes and sells...all for free. He has a good reputation and people like him there. Not sure if he has a day job and just does that for fun or makes a living off of it. I will see him again. I have seen him before there. I got the feeling we were buds, I really liked him. I hung out with him all night, lol.

I actually know a few mermaids. Like most things....it's a state of mind.

Here's one I know. We made her wedding cake.



Another one I know. She's a big cosplay fan, and is a great costumer.



Actually there's a whole community of mermaids, just as there are with most such niche folks.
