Yep I noticed that is MO of that poster. You say something he will post something he thinks equates to the same thing.

Still stuck in playground rules of debating, two wrongs make a right.

It happens all the time around here. It's a side effect of Right/Left political attacks.

Even if both sides admit that both sides are wrong it then becomes a battle about which side is more wrong than the other. Nothing but dogs chasing their own tails.

So critics of Fox news are now Nazi Book Burners and Propagandists???

Yep after all this IS a country that is suppose to have a free press, and speech.

Doesn't matter who.

So news should not be reported ?

How about the obvious angle -Muslims, stop engaging in terrorism if you want the bad reputation to go away.

Wow you really are the king/queen of spin..

No the king of spin LEGALIZED propaganda.

U.S. Repeals Propaganda Ban, Spreads Government-Made News to Americans

But don't let a little thing like reality get in the way of that tirade.

So we have to dumb down society to the lowest common denominator?

Or make it clear it is opinion and not facts. Read a thread on here when some network showed mermaid show and people got upset because they thought it was real?

Those are the people that need it made clear that something may just be fantasy or opinion and one should actually look into it for themselves from different sources to have a clearer understanding of the subject matter being presented.

If you continue to look at biased sources than you are on the wrong path in educating yourself about something.

Maybe I misunderstood? Were you saying the OP was sympathetic to other American media outlets who are pushing irrational fear of Muslims as a group? If that's the case, then I apologize.

Though I would also disagree with your statement on the grounds that Fox is the worst of the televised outlets in terms of wantonly promoting anti-Muslim sentiment/giving a (friendly) platform to individuals who engage in anti-Muslim rhetoric. That said, they're relatively tame compared to what's on the Internet.

Critics aren't the same as someone banning free speech. They are just refuting what others are saying.

Kinda like how you and I always refute each other. We are both using our free speech correctly only in different directions.

No speech should be banned but almost all of it should be criticized for one reason or another.

And that somehow negates my question about asking for people opinions?

When calling you the king of spin, I was referring to you taking something out of context and twisting it to fit your own narrative about what was actually said.

Well, if we're not allowing Fox propaganda anymore, I better not see MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and all the other alphabet news networks because they aren't any different. Propaganda with a different spin is still propaganda.

Or NPR and the White House.gov site.

Let's clear up that misconception.

There is no truth in politics.

Never was never will be.

As Tsun Tzu says. 'All warfare is based on deception'. That is what politics is ,deception.

Two sides wage a war of ideology between themselves, and as such TRUTH is the first casualty of that war.

The rest is just spinning on whose the worlds biggest loser.

Hint the answer is ALWAYS 'we the people'.

Oh, you are falling in line with Loretta Lynch?

he day after a horrific shooting spree by what appears to be a radicalized Muslim man and his partner in San Bernardino, California, Attorney General Loretta Lynch pledged to a Muslim advocacy and lobbying group that she would take aggressive action against anyone who used "anti-Muslim rhetoric" that "edges toward violence."

Speaking to the audience at the Muslim Advocates' 10th anniversary dinner Thursday, Lynch said her "greatest fear" is the "incredibly disturbing rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric" in America and vowed to prosecute any guilty of what she deemed violence-inspiring speech.

Of course, this still doesn't remove my supposition that you don't really like Fox all that much either. You likely also would want her to go after Trump too. And she has a very loose wording there.

What constitutes "anti-Muslim"? If I criticize Mohammad, is that anti-Muslim? If I name a teddy bear Mohammed, is that anti-Islam? Maybe if I accidentally say something that is a microaggression ...

Is the OP a joke? Surely he's not serious.

I'm with Xuenchen on this one. If not that, I wonder if they lost a loved one or a friend in that terrorist attack. I watch Fox as much as I do any other news station, and I have heard absolutely zero muslim-hating rhetoric. I have heard plenty of Islamic extremist hating, terror hating, but not muslim-hating. Maybe I missed it. Could someone post a link of muslim hating rhetoric?

That would be propaganda and lies. You are inferring that all Muslims should be held accountable for the actions of the radicals.

I am inferring that there are those people out there that get riled up when they watch or listen anti Muslim rhetoric and as a result commits act of hate and violence. Obviously all are not doing it but they are those that cannot seem to think for themselves and use these opinions as facts.

Just for the record pointing out other countries do the same does not help your cause because than you are saying that a supposed great country like America is exactly like them.

I am pretty sure that Americans would hold them self to a higher standard.

No, I don't think you misunderstood, but I do think you are misrepresenting me to make you case.

So-called hateful rhetoric comes in many forms and if you find what Fox reports to be hateful, then I find what's found in other places to be the same although you likely disagree. Both are rhetoric though.

It's not up to you to determine the level of information to everyone else.

This is what drives me nuts. I'm usually an easy going guy. But when people get their panties n a wad because of something they can turn off, then what else are we to assume other than you want to control the free expression of information and/or opinion.

Anyone who spreads any sort of hate or lies is wrong.

An anti Muslim is someone who preaches that they are all terrorists and all want nothing but your destruction.

Would you fit in that category? Criticize Mohammed..go for it. I have issues with all man made religions mainly because the people who preach something either misinterpreted it or use it to spread even more hate.

See? Here's the thing - you cannot know what is or is not hate. Hate is an emotion. You can't know it unless you are feeling it. You certainly cannot know what I am feeling ... or anyone else for that matter ... unless you're psychic. Are you psychic?

And you truly do not know what is or is not a lie which is an intentional bid to deceive.

Finally an answer to my original question.

You are of the thought that when violence and hate are done, that the people spreading it should not be held accountable. Does not mean you agree with it just that you think they should not be held responsible.
