If your father loved you and wanted your love back and you refused to give it, and no matter what you did he said he would bail you out and you refuse to talk to him, do you expect an inheritance? Is it not compassion that you can be a complete prick to your father your whole life, and he will still take you back and give you everything?
Would your father who loves you hurt you if you refuse to love him back?
God is not hurting anyone. I will take your response to mean you agree with me since you could not refute my post.

Corinthians 2 6 hey? Interesting verse, completely unrelatable though I guess you have to use something to reinforce your beliefs, though you don't believe of course
I just want to point out that picking and choosing, interpreting things in their own ways, taking things out of context (knowingly or unknowingly) is what I've observed Christians doing since... The Hebrews.
There is no one way to interpret the Bible, unfortunately. As a former believer, I find it interesting to look back and observe the various Christians and their various views. One thing I've noticed they have in common is the ability to throw out accusations that this or that other Christian is not a "true Christian" for this or that reason.
Yeah, but nah, not really interested, I know the argument
So what is the argument? Maybe you can set me straight. Because I believe a strong case can be made that celebrating Christmas is sinful.
Anyway..
Merry Christmas!
PS.
If I was pushing any of my opinions I would be using completely different terminology in my posts. As I have said, I don't care who celebrates Christmas or for what reasons.

Funny how they say being good isn't tied to religion, but then say people should skip church as if it angers the ignorant and hypocrite Atheist, and by stating it, destroys any possible consideration by others that their statement was valid. They proved their message was one made of ignorance of their own spirit and character which doesn't seem able to see the illogical words of their own statement.
Every Christian already knows just going to church is not a ticket to eternal life in abundance, and if Atheists really cared about their fellow man, they would simply accept their church going neighbors with care and compassion, and maybe love, And if not, why the HELL NOT?? Stop being the stick wedged up your own holes and let some light in, and the belligerence out. Jesus Christ Almighty!
I bet if Athiests went to a church and saw how simple and nice people are who don't go around tossing incitful words towards everyone else, they might see they really need to throw all that trash baggage out and let people live like they are always demanding others allow them to live. Leave people alone for once and tend to your busted up selves before trying to change others.
If you cant do that, then it shows you are the one holding the all the red flags.

If your son commits a crime and ends up in prison did you put him there?

That's not very fair for people who honestly don't believe he even exists for x, y, and z, reasons. I honestly see no evidence of his existence. I have sought it out. I remain unconvinced. I didn't choose not to believe in him out of any anger towards him, or something similar. I just see no logical reason to believe he exists. And that's just ONE God I see no evidence for.
What of all the others?

so an atheist should pretend to believe in order to out smart god?
i think the whole "believe in me or burn in hell" offer sounds a little unfriendly.

well why in the hell is my car burning?
why is the default my car is gonna burn?
we are born unworthy of salvation and ordered to force ourselves to believe something we can't. well i dont accept we are born doomed, just born.
if you want to believe that you are born unworthy that's fine. that's your right, but i must say, its weird to think that way

Believers trying to think atheist always comes out as ridiculous.
The message is simple, and directed at "closet atheists". Those who still go through the motions, for whatever reason (family, parents, co-workers, etc).
Trying to make it more then that is just stupid.

This shows that Atheists are angry, and they will let those who go to church, who believe in Christ know that they are not happy about that and so they call for people to skip church.
I would say that covers it plain as day there Lady
