I am sure they are the same crappy ships the Turks use. Have you seen theirs?

I have been to turkey travel to Poland often as my wife is polish. Turkey has just as junky fleets as Russia. Probably more so since they are no where near the level of international trade Russia is.

in all fairness the Turkish fleet is much younger and subject to same criteria as European Ships .
This doesn't mean that Turks not have crappy ships .

When did the war against Russia start? I thought we were supposed to be killing terrorist.

That's what you get if you are adding countries to NATO, which in specified time addressed to feel with a faction and regions where they rather would belong themselves...

The same goes for adding countries to the EU , how far are they willing to expand the EU ?

Here is your link in English concerning imminent threat to the US Consulate in Istanbul: news broke earlier today:

US Warns of 'Imminent Security Threat' to US Consulate in Turkey’s Istanbul

"The US authorities have issued a statement warning of an impending security threat to a US consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul, calling on its citizens to keep off the area."

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – "Due to information about an imminent security threat against the U.S. Consulate compound in Istanbul, U.S. Embassy Ankara advises all U.S. citizens to avoid U.S. Consulate General Istanbul, U.S. Embassy Ankara, U.S. Consulate Adana and the Izmir Consular Agency today, December 5, 2015," the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) said in the statement."

The news claim that the american embassy shut down, because they feel they are in danger. Doesnt say that they abandoned turkey ... The building is shut down.

I google it and I found a link from RT www.rt.com...

Twitter message also included in the above link.

Ambiguity of language again.
When Ploutanas said "closed", it sounded like the building being emptied and the staff evacuated.
That report is just about telling civilians to keep away.

Yes, you are right, but the buildings and offices are normally closed on weekends anyhow..so those offices are not currently open; I understand what you mean though about "language ambiguity;"

Yes, my first thought was "if America was breaking off diplomatic relations with Turkey, bigger sources would have been reporting it".

Well why don't you go live in Turkey then?

And let Russia have the ME! It's caused us nothing but grief and trouble so let Putin have it. Maybe it will distract him for the next half century.

Lose? I say handing over the ME to Russia is a win for us. Good riddance to those barbarians.

Five minutes after you move to Russia....

Why ? Russia is a dump and putin a arse hole.

Just because i dont want to start a war or be dragged into a war with them (and be obliterated along with you and mostly likely everyone else in both Russia and NATO ) doesnt mean I love russia or defend there actions.
Just means I dont think turkey as a corrupt muslim country is worth nuclear annihilation over.

And hell I wish russia the middle east......certainly wouldnt wish that on a country I liked...

Guys relax. These are cargo ships. Its in retaliation as Russia is holding their cargo ships too.

Sure it ain't a hoax? or just coincidental, as they are "blocking" as in delaying harbour activity rather than physically blocking the merchant ships?

Because if they are physically blocking merchant ships, it's piracy and justifies military action.

Now if Russia and Turkey call home their Ambassadors, Turkey and Russia cut all trade, They cancel the joint pipelines projects, Russia forces in Syria rush home with no announcement, Russia extends its the one year conscripts that make up most of the military, Russian forces pull out of Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, Turkey has a series of meeting with NATO, the Arab League, the GCC, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, public announcements of neutrality suddenly come from Belarus and the Central Asian states, Russian air forces move into positions where they can hit Poland, the UK and Germany airbases, the Russian black sea fleet heads into port, Russia calls out the reserves. Then you can start getting nervous.

Russia did froze or canceled the pipeline, they also stop all food trading among the others and today Turks announced that will get from other countries the needs for their energy. I will edit the post to add some links.

Pls use this to translate the articles and its not today articles (i thought everybody knew) translate.google.com...

About the turkish stream :

link2
Cyprus press about turkstream link

about agriculture stuff

link
link

Russia also recognizes officially the Armenian and Pondos genocides by turks
link

Russia does not recognize the occupied Cyprus by turks
link

and many many more news, this is a sumple!

Russia cut off some food imports from Turkey although that has no start date because Russia is worried about yet another spike in food prices, they direct tourism flights and that is about it. They have not cut off any of the real trade between them nor the joint projects, they have just not bothered to mention them. The Turks could go elsewhere to replace what they get from Russia but, they likely will not bother unless Russia pushes them. Honestly it seems unlikely even the food imports will never go into place and just be forgotten. The Russians do not need higher food prices. And while direct tourism trips are banned you can bet third they will just ad a stop in another country to get around it.

All sanctions they signed in Russia against turkey will auto-activate at 1/1/2016, we have news about it. (that also included the firing of 90000 turks who work in Russia, the companies wont be able to hire any turks after that, many charter flights will be perma canceled, the demand of extra checks and VISA for turkish visitors, etc)

Anyway, we have fresh news, Erdogan said today " WE canceled turkstream, NOT russians." link

So its a double standard deal, it is canceled/frozen for sure. In the above link Erdogan claims that other constructions such as the nuclear factory, are not in danger from this tentions..

But we allready have news, PUTIN canceled the nuke factory too.. link

also this link

We also have a Greek NewRussia version of the website and it also gives the news about the cancelation of nuke factory project. link
