And further to my point above...

There is nothing served (other than political agenda) by NOT saying this is part of a larger effort. Terrorism is already illegal, terrorists already know they are outlaws and terrorists already know they are being actively sought, so saying this is part of a larger, more organized, effort compromises nothing.

It only serves a political, politically correct, agenda.

Careful people.

Have to watch what you say now.

Being critical of ISIS just might land you with the DOJ on your back.

And will soon be classified as 'hate speech'.

Loretta Lynch Vows to Prosecute Those Who Use 'Anti-Muslim' Speech That 'Edges Toward Violence'

They can no longer baffle us with their b*llsh*t and it is making them very frustrated. 'Open eyes and Awake' are not words they want to hear.

And what the hell does 'edges' mean? Who is going to determine how far on the edge one's words are?

Really??

A spokesman for the Feds says..."We know there are others out there involved"...to what end does this serve?

Tips off those in hiding that are not sure if they have been burned. Might accelerate planned attacks. Scares the public...and the Feds can't give any more details so they follow it with a long series of "no comment"..."Just thought I'd scare the hell out of you for no good cause folks! Have a nice day".

I prefer to let them chase the facts and suspects without the nonsense.

Terrorist or our duly elected leaders.

I hope she realizes that sword comes with two edges.

Right now I don't think it is the Muslim community that needs the reassurance.

Kind of scary bigoted how you equated ISIS with Muslim without blinking an eye as if they were one in the same.

While also deriding someone looking to protect Muslims from hate driven violence.

The level of hate and bigotry is stunning.

A Muslim cab driver in NYC was shot in the back last week by a guy rambling on about ISIS...

If we are going to discuss "Inspired" attacks like San Bernardino what does that make your posts?

I understand what you are saying. I just don't see a peaceful way out of this mess without trustworthy, peaceful, Muslims helping control this mess.

No argument with this. In fact, I wholly agree the Muslim community must absolutely participate. Further, I think the Muslim community needs to step up and take a much more active role. For the first time (I can recall anyway) this event has motivated the Muslim community to step up and publically denounce this incident. I can't recall seeing much of this previously.

From the attacks I have witnessed here at ATS, there are billions of them, and there are supposedly, less than 0.5% that are terrorist. Surely there has to be an effective way this can be achieved.

I would agree, the overwhelming majority of Muslim peoples are not terrorists. This is why it is so critically important for the Muslim communities here and elsewhere to step up and begin aggressively policing their own. Historically, they have not done this, or not done it effectively. With terrorism the old adage about one apple spoiling the bunch applies better than just about any other analogy.

The only other solution will be to refuse entry of anyone until they can be thoroughly vetted, even if that takes years. We have seen what can happen with the standards presently in place.

And sadly, this is just exactly what we should do! Close the borders, systematically hunt down and root out the evil, deport them and create circumstances where these types of people can never be allowed to flourish within the boundaries of this country ever again. Only then can we consider beginning to allow 'limited' immigration.

As opposed to the scary bigoted gunphobia running rampant across this country that is nothing, but hate speech in itself.

It isn't hate speech, tough guy. There are legitimate statistics and numbers that back it up.

Until you can bring in legitimate stats and numbers (without any anecdotal evidence) as to why more guns and less gun control will help the problem, then you're irrelevant as is everyone else.

Numbers and stats matter. Not quotes from the Constitution or statements of something believed to be common sense.

So, let's see the numbers. If they're legitimate numbers, I'll applaud you.

Using anything but stats and studies will always be irrelevant in any situation.

And now we learn the female used an alias account to post a message pledging her allegiance to one of the IS leaders. Various MSM are saying it was right before the attack or as it was happening.

Either way, that's a new wrinkle. It's going to get harder and harder to say this wasn't terrorism.

It's getting harder and harder to actually know if there is a difference. This shooter was a US citizen, went to school here, held the same job with the local government for five years, socialized with co-workers (they even threw him and his wife a baby shower!), and yet, here he was building bombs in his garage and plotting an attack.

I would have said, "an attack on his own people" since he is a US citizen, but now I know 'his own people" is not us Americans. His loyalty is elsewhere. His evil heart was against us. Is it any wonder that people are having a difficult time differentiating a muslim from an ISIS terrorist?

That pretty girl wearing a hijab you saw at the mall could be another Tashfeen, right?

By it's very definition this act was "terrorism". Not only that, but it was "Islamic Terrorism" to boot. The apologists can try to deny this or try to obfuscate it all they want, but anyone with more than one neuron firing in their head knows the truth.

Oh boy, those numbers are so far off.

There have been 352 mass shootings THIS YEAR only.... a mass shooting is defined as 4 or more deaths in that stat.
Looked at the page for 10 seconds and saw that error.
