Epson XP 310

I have a printer that just won't print. I tried reloading the software from a disc and it printed the company logo and text test page just fine. But, when my son needed to print some things from his school account, which he can log on to through Google, it won't print at all. Paper feeds through and you can hear the heads moving, but no ink. Tried restarting the print spooler, no go. New ink cartridges, just installed today.
Really, reeeeeaally close to throwing this thing out the back door.

Is the printer connected to the computer by a usb cable, Ethernet cable, or wireless connection?

Thank you for your reply. I figured it out. Some how, there were 2 versions of the printer and the wrong one had been selected as the default. I deleted one version and switched the default back to the original. Recently upgraded to Win 10, so I think that may have had something to do with it.
