EXCEPT when those being insulted are Christians, right? EXCEPT when a Christian wants special rights?

What a joke.

This would actually mean something if your hypocrisy wasn't so apparent. Religious freedoms—only if I approve of them.

The Arabic word "Allah" wherever it is found means "God." Anything else is misrepresentation.

Christianity also considers itself the "last religion." So does Scientology. That's what religions do.

Don't move to Michigan then; problem solved. Personal responsibility in action!

Hypocrites, all of them.
Yes I'll broad brush, as I was specific in my descriptive.

Cos if we differentiate we can broad brush I've learned in the antiMuslim threads recently.

God forbid you hold a standard on yourself that you would on others. This sounds to be the going rate in this thread. You're in good company.

Claiming I'm hypocritical means nothing; got a specific example?

Please, do quote me and let's proceed.

"Lā ilāha illā-Allāh". There is no deity but God.

As for the hypocrisy

From your last OP:

I am posting this specific video of the event here because I feel it deserves special attention and because more than focusing on passionate disagreement over religiously-justified intolerance in general, I am making the specific contention here that such a seemingly outlandish comment is, in spirit if not in fact, part of the underlying motivation of the entire movement behind so-called religious freedom activism.

From this thread:

This, however, is America, and the Constitution's First Amendment which allows for the free exercise of religion and the prevention of government establishment of same is what allows us to speak our minds in such a fashion ... in the same way it allows Muslims in Michigan to have their Call to Prayer and Christians can have whatever celebrations they want ... just not on public lands, sponsored by local governments.

You're down to personal comments about other posters, LesMis.

Please, let's stay on topic and off each other, yes?

Demonstrate how the Muslim Call to Prayer in Dearborn Michigan is equivalent to teachers praying and leading prayers on school property during school events. That's what the argument is, not what noise you do and don't like.

I'm taking my standards from the rest, I expect no more or less of my ATS peers.

They've set the bar, I'm just following that.

Huh ... a minute ago you translated it as "There is no god but Allah."

Which is it?

Any post in this thread where you speak of Christians. Imagine if you provided the same to the religion under discussion.

So quote one.

Go ahead. If it's so numerous, quote me.

Unless you can't, of course. Unless you're gesturing at nothing.

I never said it was equivalent. That sounds like your baby.

So, in Arabic the word Allah just means God?

So, no one who hears that would be necessarily offended right? Because they're singing about praying to God?

Who's having this trouble you keep alluding to, anyway? You?

Any reader can simply go look at your posts. How many of them are critical of any other religion besides Christianity?

May I suggest you read the OP, anything stated by the OP, and the argument you are supporting here?

Unless you want to complain about noise you don't hear in a place you don't live ... surely that's not it, is it?

There's no law against being offended, right? Isn't that one of your usual talking points?

We're not talking about any reader, we're talking about you.

You make the claim, you back it up. It's "easy" according to you, so do it.

Lots.

Gryph even said numerous times it would piss him off as well, and that he would take the necessary action to prevent it.

You're almost being as wilfully ignorant as the OP.

Then take it as an unsubstantiated claim. I'll let the reader inform themselves.

Yet he's defending it.
