Well to be honest I am not surprised at all that Brussels is the origin of a lot of Jihadist. I was born there and now I live 15 km from there.
I went to school in Brussels between my 3-16 years old.
Since then, I hate going to Brussels, it's a dangerous place. there are places in Brussels that are relatively safe since people bunch up there to not
feel estranged. I've had my fair share of issues with 'new Belgians' as they are called. They are Moroccans, Turks, Algerians, Albanians, etc.. But
they have been here for 3 generations, so they all have a Belgian passport. You feel like a stranger in your own country. They group together while us
Belgians mostly keep to ourselves and we are outnumbered. If you have a problem with one of them, they surround you, they are never alone. Even if
they don't know one another, they will still help each other in kicking your ass, no matter what exactly happened.
If you walk through Brussels as a white person on your own, chances are very slim that you will be left alone. If you walk through Molenbeek on your
own, chances are ZERO. Cops don't really interfere with stuff that happens there because if they arrest someone, there's riots and they get attacked.
This is not communicated in the news because it would give Brussels a bad name.. But I know cops that work there and they all say the same thing it is
way worse then what is told in the news.
This has started a looooong time ago, the socialist party was in the government for 40 years but the people who voted for them were those 'new
Belgians' so what did they do? They left them alone, because they were the people voting for them. They had to support their voters, so they just let
them do whatever they wanted, as long as they kept voting for them.
They even gave one of those terrorist brothers(from the Paris attacks) a job as regulator(the guy who decides if people should get a Belgian passport)
That makes my blood boil.
We have neglected the issues for way too long and I fear it is too late. Those people, they don't have education (while in Belgium EVERYONE can go to
school for free) they don't have jobs (because they didn't go to school and they rather hang around in the streets smoking hasj) so when they get to
an age that reality hits them, they see no future and when that moment happens they don't need a lot of persuasion to join IS to get some of that
virgin goodness..
I might sound like a bitter man, but in all honesty. I don't know a single person in my family, friends, whatever that hasn't had problems in Brussels.
Those people have been here for over 40 years, they should've integrated by now, except they haven't. They have made Brussels their own. They form
their own ghettos, they buy houses in good neighborhoods and pester the people that live there until they leave and then they buy more houses until
the entire neighborhood turned into a ghetto..
