Consider the height of the buildings and the internal pressure at the height of impact. Consider that the internal atmosphere was likely much more
oxygenated than the external. Consider where there is fuel for the explosive reaction to move. INTO the building.
The buildings did indeed explode from the inside out. It's not magic, it's not internal bombs, it's simple physics.
