Turns out there were three explosions out side the stadium, two were in tunnel entrances to the stadium (hella reverb effect) and one out front a nearby Mcdonalds.

I also heard somewhere the President of France announced his country will continue airstrikes over Syria. Imagine that, France led the coalition airstrikes in Libya, too.

I only played Assassins Creed III out of the series, it looked cool in the trailer for it, set during revolutionary war, game sucked but any point is, I now find it odd to think back, in the game, the Assassins are the good guys and Templars are bad guys . . . and now I am seeing the historical basis they used for it, the Assassins are akin to the arabs of today and the leader of the ASSASSINS is comparable to Bin Laden . . . were the makers of that game intending to put such a subversive thing in their games . . . or just a coincidence? I am not saying it means anything just a bit odd.

France has always been sacred ground for the Templar's. Even today it is felt that France needed to pay for its atrocities against them. However, this is not the way they would do it. The French have allowed Muslims to control some of their territories, yet this bombing seems like it didn't come from ISIS, but from the inside. I am a Templar and regard France as the birth of something much greater than you who read this will ever know. Lets just leave it at that!

That's an interesting take on it....I haven't been able to play the game proper, I'm just no good with hand eye coordination in 3D environments but this is a series I'd LOVE to be able to try my hand at! The backstory in the series is good, but not completely historically accurate....while it is true some of the Templars and the goings on of the Catholic Church back then were less than savory, no one really knows the finer points of what was going on. Regardless, it's a beautiful storyline and I would give anything to be able to play the series.

I try not to read too much transposition into real world events though.

My son banishes me from the room if I start in on critiquing the alleged history...the way that they mispronounce Templars is enough to set me off...I only do it to wind him up and for self-amusement, that's what pubescent boys were made for, isn't it? As a reality for entertainment, as a game, I think it's excellent and he is learning useful skills like how to jump off buildings, socialise with prostitutes and pick pockets. What more could a mother want for her child?

It's a fun game no doubt. I'd rather my kids learn parkour and sneaky sneaks than that GTA stuff, we're more of a Skyrim and Fallout household over here. I just commented to my husband how we really should get the AC games and try our hand at them....they really do look like a lot of fun. Good news, he's hip to the suggestion so we're checking Steam for options now.

Despite a 35 year interest in the Assassins I have refused to play any of the games since their first iteration.

Everything about them grates on my nerves.

What's with the (seeming) protagonists get-up, anyway? Just so stupid from stem to stern.

I have to point out that I don't play myself...it's been attempted, and as a spectator sport that is evidently quite hilarious, even the most basic games confound my ability to co-ordinate...it's like watching custard hit a fan in slow motion, unavoidably messy but oh so compelling to watch...or so I am told. So, I for the most part just provide distracting commentary and additional dialogue, as applicable. I'm allowed to play some of the simpler games sometimes but usually it's best if I don't approach anything more challenging than Scrabble.

I've played everything under the sun and was 12 when I owned my first boxed set of Gygax's Dungeons and Dragons.

I see the qualities in the game that are attractive, there are, like, 1.

I can't play it because I can't collude with that sort of historical stupidity, and I also can't collude with whatever else is going on there that causes it so folks think that I am drawing a false or weak correlative because they have, bless their souls, colluded with the historical stupidity.
