Believe it or not, some large charity organizations are seemingly more like business companies then charities behind the scenes. This short video focuses mainly on certain cancer charity organizations and how much money is actually used on the research itself, how much profit is made, and how charity money is used for legal actions caused by large charities claiming copyright or trademark infringement of their slogans or logos, namely of the color pink used by one of the most popular breast cancer charity organizations.

I worked for an animal charity. I asked about the mountain of blankets, many of them high quality wool blankets that would cost a lot new. I was told, "Take what you want. (A well known charity which I won't name) did an appeal for blankets after an earthquake and got more than they wanted. We did a deal with them." The blankets were being used for dog bedding. The new dogs and those thought to be diseased used the blankets one night only then the blankets were burnt in an incinerator. I was asked to improve the design of the incinerator as they were having difficulty disposing of the used blankets.

How many people donating blankets to a very well known charity for use by earthquake survivors abroad would be happy to know their heirloom blankets were used for one night by a dog in England, then burnt?

In this video. 7:00

None of the proceeds from the NFL go to cancer research.

One point about research. I know a man who used different words to describe something that had already been done and got a grant to do it all over again.

I do not donate to cancer research for thee two reasons

1 nutrition is not researched as a cause or as a treatment for cancer and;

2. cancer research is crowd sourced but the patent will not be crowd sourced, it will be owned by big pharma who will charge top doller for product that cost them next to nothing to own.

Begin with your heart, however let your head have the last say. Specialists concur, pick a reason you're enthusiastic about. Be that as it may, Andrew Freeman, an advisory in San Francisco, likewise encourages eateries to pick a philanthropy that offers a characteristic cover with their customer profile. "In case you're a four-star eatery, you most likely would prefer not to pick somewhat known grassroots philanthropy with restricted bolster," he says. "Coordinating the philanthropy to your clients implies you'll show signs of improvement purchase in from the general population who shape your center business."

I don't donate to charities like this for the same reasons. At the moment in the Uk we are using the term "postcode lottery", which is because people in some areas can get certain treatment and medication on the NHS and a few streets away another person will be refused treatment. Its totally unfair of course. Considering the money that gets donated to such causes, the results of the research should be public property and a human right. With such a high mortality rate for cancer these days I feel its immoral to withold these treatments and benefit from others suffering, especially as the mojority of sufferers and their families are the ones responsible for raising the funds to research with in the first place.
I also dont believe that even half of donations to charities ever get to the destination they tell us their meant for. Charity is suppose to be a selfless act and a non profit organization. Gone are the days for that!

People should support cancer charity organizations. They should give them enough money every month so that these organizations can help patients who are suffering from cancer in any party of the world. I would love to buy research paper online so that I can get more time to work for such organizations.

I strongly agree. In most of the third world countries charity organization work on their assets rather than working for the welfare of the organizations.

How much reliable their service is? Would you mind sharing some more information?

It depends. Right now I work for the philanthropic division of the company. By that, I mean we do not work for profit. What we produce is done under contract at cost. That being said, I get paid to do what I do and the things we produce have a very real cost. We do what we can to minimize our costs. Sometimes, the products we ship are technically less than perfect because there might be small imperfections in them - a crumpled page, a thin ink line running down a page, etc. - but the alternative is to trash the book and start over which drives up our costs per unit making our service under contract more expensive even if it is at cost.

On the periodical side, we only produce a book and have a press run when it is sponsored, and sponsors get ad space. Our sponsors might be anyone from specific cancer foundations to pharma companies who produce anti-cancer drugs. Sometimes, one sponsor will fund the whole press run for a book. Pharma companies will do this anytime they have a drug for a specific cancer type they want to get out there because then they have all the ads in the book. You will see those products of ours in office waiting rooms, free for the taking, and it's that ad space dealing that allows us to offer them free to cancer centers and patients.

The information inside the books is in no way influenced by the sponsor. I know that from my position.

Great vid, thanks for sharing that one and when it comes to 'philanthropies' it certainly is big business.

There's a good swimming pool analogy here about tax exempt foundations (donate 5% to avoid taxation on the rest) and if we take Gates as an example here's what he did with the other 95%.

Cheers.

The reason our company absorbed the division I work for is because the owner's daughter had a long and arduous bought with cancer that she survived.

He and his wife reached an understanding with the group I work with because they could help more widely distribute and extend the reach of an idea that was struggling to exist.

We provide personalized cancer guides for patients to help them better understand their diagnoses and treatments as a supplement to what they will be receiving from their medical professionals. These are provided as part of the cancer treatment service from the specific treatment center.
