A little about Jack

Hey.

Just found this forum, introductions, and decided to add one here, for whoever comes across it.

I've been around this website for probably a decade. And recently posting. Have actually already made a few threads, most dealing with Jesus, not all.


If you've noticed by either my avatar or my threads, I believe in Jesus.

I respect that most people don't. And I enjoy enriching conversation and encourage an interchange of knowledge with people, no matter what you believe, or not believe. I have been talking with people for over two decades that have varying beliefs, and have used all of the information exchanged to help me expand my understanding, and that of my own personal experiences. If and when you see me talk with you bare that in mind please. I don't think I know it all, but I know more than perhaps you think. Less then I think though.

Also the fact that I've been reading the posts on this website for about a decade means, I know more of you than you know of me. That means, when I treat you a certain way, or refer to certain things you think I shouldn't know, it's probably drawing from past understanding of your different viewpoints and posts on things. And that goes for a lot of you. Of course not all.

While many prophecies in the Bible deal with end times, and I personally believe we have entered them, and with good reason, and have proof to back that up, I don't believe that it is bad news for the earth.

I am not a doomsayer, don't believe in the survivalist mentality. I really think we should all be calm about the matter, and actually glad. I believe the proliferation of guns is a plague on modern-day society, and also understand, like many here, personally, that religion is behind a lot of the evil of mankind. Not all of it of course. Atheism has its fair share of evil to be blamed for in the 20th century.

This was just to get a little more about my mindset.

A little about me personally. I'm married. I have two growing boys, one almost a man. A beautiful wife, of 17 years. We have lived in many places and two different countries, and two different cultures. Although I've been among many others.

I guess I'll end my piece with John Oliver's parody on all of the doomsayer's out there (he really is quite intelligent, and while, a little gross, and nasty at times, has very good points):

I don't know if I've made one of these posts yet either. Do we still say 'welcome' to each other despite our forum age?

Hi Jack... Welcome to ATS, even though I've only been coming here for a few months now. I signed up right away, because I have no way to get this kind of brain food in my everyday life... Sure I talk, but people this I'm nuts! Lol
Anyways, barring the gun thing, we agree on much. I also give my faith to Jesus, but respect and admire most other religion. I am also aware that organized religion is the cause of much evil.
