Once upon a time I was deeply involved in the media, it was my life, my job and my hobby. An event happened (we dont need to go into that here) which was part of a change of the media, the 20th century paradigm was no longer applicable. The dialogue was controlled. Five media companies took control of all corporate media in the English speaking world--there was no room for dissent in this media homogeneity.

I left the media, my life, my everything. Or maybe it left me?.

Trying to continue to remain a "functioning member of society" I decided to use my media background to take employment in the web industry--new media, new me?. NOPE. It was not long before I saw the same control systems take over the new media industries. Everything we had done had become undone--not by technology, but by people.

Weighing up my options: to not consume media at all OR to only listen to police scanners and law reviews, I decided there had to be another option. Being that I was learning a non-English language for extrinsic reasons, I decided: "hey, lets see if the non-English news sources have a different perspective". So I did...

Well, this was the eye-opener. Having news that was not so heavily "spun", not presented for an emotive reaction, not trying to divide us by hate--it was like the old days when I could read the news and not know which PR shills hands it had been thru (they have their editorial styles). It was a breath of fresh air.

But then I talk to people. They are now spouting the same lies as the media did, as new media did. There is no counter point that is not astro-turfed, no opposition to the status quo that is not controlled. Its all lies. Sure, we could go on a MKULTRA tip and say everyone is brainwashed, but I dont think thats the case. I actually think people ARE that stupid, people DO believe the lies; and when a lie gets enough critical mass--it becomes an "accepted truth".

In the last 20 years, the English language has become the language of lies--more lies are spoken in this language than truth's.

Funny how most "English as a first language" speakers NEVER learn another language--I guess then never get sick of being lied to?.

While reading your post, these lyrics popped into my head:

The world is a vampire, sent to drain
Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames

As for learning new languages. I have dabbled. I took some German in High School and am currently taking American Sign Language. Personally, I want to hammer down and get good at a couple languages. For me, I have interest in German and Latin. But anyway..

Good rant.

Despite all your rage you may still just be a rat in a cage.

Cuba, Agentina, Zimbabwe,Eygpt, Suadi Arabia, Venezuela, Iran, Afghanistan, Indonesia, so many non English speaking countries with non biased honest news!

Don't be racist! Everyone has an agenda.

The modern lie is in the language of hieroglyphs, or it is moving that way fast! Lies and beliefs together are always bound, so to untie that knot is the path that you have found. There are many kinds of traps, but to travel afar makes it easier to see your local tricks. At least that is what I have found! Your use of English, was for sharing your truth, media circus having gone gone gone. Your lucky to be, with the truth you have found.

Can you give some examples of the differences? Bear in mind that English is the official language of 60+ nations, so that's a very broad accusation that "we're all the same". English has global coverage, so I think you are wrong.

You could read news in Mandarin, secure in the knowledge that the Chinese media is heavily controlled, or Spanish (South American view), Hindu (Indian view), or any number of other languages that are mostly co-terminus with a country.

The English language has so many double meanings that you can use to it to never tell a lie. Parents use this skill every day when controlling their young children.
Politicians have perfected it, business men and legal speak have developed it to another level.
Why would they not all use it.

Other languages are more to the point and say what they really mean.
English speaking people have a far wider vocabulary than most nations.

Pick any language you care to mention and I'll tell you that they lie in their language. Just because you single out English is neither here nor there. Yes they lie. But really think about it a moment. Sooner or later the whole world will have to speak a universal language, whether you like it or not. People will quote "well there are more people speaking Chinese than the rest of the world so that aught to be the universal language".
But, just as the victors in wars write the history someone has decided to make English the universal language. The Chinese and other Far Eastern countries know this as their main second language is English.
As we evolve as a species so our language evolves (it is dynamic) so any new technical, scientific terms use English word terms. Some countries don't want to accept that, probably through nationalistic fervour, "we don't want to lose our language" so they alter the terms to suit their language.
Take what you are typing on at the moment, your computor. What's computor in French or German or Italian? It's the word computor with an e added or an i added here and there just to assuage the native language talkers.
Take it or leave it but that is the language that's been picked so work with it cos you aint gonna change it.

Well said.

I often think about when the media changed. I think the journos back then knew they were peddling crap but that the populace were buying into it. The journos back then knew it was crap. Now however the journos don't realise it's crap and they believe it's real journalism. Hope that makes sense.

With regards to people believing the spin/propaganda... It's hard not to for the average person who is smoke screened with this stuff all day, everyday.
