"Casualties from twin bombings in Ankara, Turkey, rise to 86 dead and 186 injured." Per CNN's breaking news ticker.

Atrocious, in the literal sense.

Peace.

Then I bet they blame on Russia...

No it was a US job done by the CIA to implicate Russia, so that NATO would be drug into the start of WWIII.

Or it could be a suicide bomber that was either from ISIS or possibly Kurdish in origin.

My bet's on the second one, but you never know.

And I hope whoever was responsible is dealt with swiftly.

Hmm, well let's see....

An explosion at a peace rally within a country who's government doesn't provide peace or freedom.

So, where's the confusion?

I see compassion is in short supply today.
R.I.P. I hope whoever is responsible is brought to justice, by that I mean all those involved.
It appears to have been a suicide bomber, but there must be others involved somewhere I imagine.
Terrible.

They are also a member of NATO who are providing support for airstrikes against IS alongside their own efforts , IS have in the past shown they will do what it takes to influence upcoming elections , this could be another example.

The heck are you talking about. The PKK are terrorists. The ruling party in Turkey, AKP, made with the PKK the last 2 years. The PKK broke the peace by killing 2 police men in their apartment during their sleep. After that, PKK continued more attacks on Turkish police men, while they were going after their civil life. PKK murdered them infront of their families. You think we should make peace with them, after what they have done the last 35 years? They are terrorizing the Kurdish population.

Retaliation? Found this…

article

I was looking for something on the claims that usually there were gobs of police around these demonstrations but today they were strangely absent.

Turkey will probably break that pipline gas contract now.
I'm surprised NATO didn't put troops on the border yet.
