David Icke prophetic interview in 1998 - nearly everything he said has happened

I am not sure Icke uses the scattergun technique as much as some others do, He tends to stick to a common theme in that we as a population are bieng controlled by the elite for there own gain, something that cannot really be denied.

Using Icke's claims about reptillians to invalidate his other works is a flawed attitude in my opinion, take any ATS member and have a quick mooch in there history and you will find at least one whacked out statement about something that could be used as a blanket argument against anything they say.

I for example belive that it is possible to perform magic and stand by me belief, does this mean that you can refute a political statment I make based not on the validity of the statement but solely on my belief in magic?

I wouldn't discount the reptilian thing myself, there have always been demons and djinn in world religions and mythology, this gives a explanation of what they really are.

I had the pleasure of speaking to icke briefly about a decade ago.

Although I am wary of the reptilian thing, when you talk to the guy he certainly doesn't come across as a looney.

I asked him some fairly personal questions about his family and his beliefs and he was very open and happy to answer.

I do think he is dead on about the various families in control of the world.

Not just him also edgar cayce and baba vanga. Magic ( or using our brain for 100%) karma yes that to but do you see a link in everything? Why?

That's how I think. Either that or he's part of some "world power" slow leak program. Couple a bunch a truth of their intentions with a couple of bat-poo crazy items and set them free.

I still have trouble wrapping my mind of the coincidence of certain pop culture foreshadowing:

Tricky subject, degrees of credibility.

In a court of law a witness may be discredited if one facet of their testimony is clearly false, shame this doesn't apply in politics. In the real world if someone has an obviously completely loopy belief then it casts levels of doubt on anything else they pronounce. Where directly related i.e. someone known to have perpetrated a UFO hoax 20 yrs ago brings forth a new claim and photo then immediate suspicion exists.

For Icke I am afraid for me the fact that he has linked all sorts of stuff into a semi-coherent theory of history is his downfall, in that by linking it in order to give any credibility to any claim I also have to believe that the British monarch is the latest in a long line of reptilians who subjugate the general masses and manipulate world events. Which I personally can't.

However if others are either willing to seperate the claims or accept them wholesale then fine, there are more harmful beliefs in the world.

I agree but although his claims may be wild but has he been known to have put out something that was proven to be untrue?, an actual hoax as it were?

It is human nature to try and find corralations in things so I am not sure this is a reason to discredit himeither.

For those of you that can't watch, its a BBC documentary sort of checking in on Icke. It also is going in to all the stuff he said that turned out to have more than a hint of truth. It tells both sides of the story for those that don't know about his career as a football player and his embarrassment on national TV.

What exactly was he right about? He gave no specifics and you filled in the blanks with where you thought it fit...

As far as Iraq goes, everyone has known that as long as Saddam was in power there would be another war. That interview was also during the major swing in environmental panic (1998).

Question is what do you think about all That. What he says? More thaughts on the psychologic part? Do you believe in telekinese? Or telepathy or going astral? Just want to know what you think

I still can't think of him as being a credible source; however if this is true then it adds credibility to the "Recruit a group of crackpots" hypothesis which speculates on the possibility that the government might be releasing reliable information through unreliable sources mixed in with disinformation and unreliable information through sources that seem reliable.

Probably a common belief on conspiracy theory forums but news to those with heads in the sand.

He was saying that there were peopdophile rings involving high up politicians, celebreties and royals a long time before it all finally came out recently.

He has been correct about other things too but in order to discuss the in's and outs you would need to have a good grounding on his works if you were looking to argue against them.

That's really crazy, although I cannot take him 100% seriously.

the hollow moon/earth theory could indeed be correct. we just don't know.

there is enough evidence to sustain a hypothesis that in fact all planets are hollow. if you look at satellite pics of the poles of planets, incl earth, there is an area over the pole where no data can be retrieved. even saturn appears to have this.

But the fact that that Icke is focused upon the reptilian theory, and denouncing religion, doesn't that say something about his system of beliefs, especially knowing that he was once a celebrity himself and now relishes in one theory that he seems to think is entirely full circle?

The reptilian agenda may be valid. There are ancient depictions of reptile beings from the Ubaid period in Iraq.

Personally I love David Icke. He has completely changed how I view the world and his theories are spot on in my modest opinion

But the thing about the - what do we call it? The truth movement? The awakened? Whatever - the thing about it is that it can not only be divided into those with a left wing or a right wing perspective, like in what is mystifyingly called regular society. In the movement of "truth seekers" there's an ever bigger division between the following two groups:

1) Those that limit themselves to socio-political and related topics. To the things that you can see, hear, smell, touch and taste.
2) Those that believe that there is a reality that we can't decode with our five senses. And they will include ufo's, aliens, reptilians, the matrix and other so-called weird things into their narrative.

Members of that first group consider those from the second group a laughing stock and disinformers that harm the credibility of the truth movement as a whole. Members of the second group will call those from the first group still half asleep because they don't dare to go deep enough into the rabbit hole, and they thus still "don't get it."

Although I put myself into that second group I consider the not getting along of these groups as counter productive. People need to learn to not automatically put the disinformer label on those they disagree with. I don't doubt that there are disinformers. But sometimes someone with a different opinion is indeed just someone with a different opinion.

I don't think Icke ever claimed to have discovered this stuff himself. The only reason people even know his name is because he was already a celebrity.

Doesn't Icke claim he is bringing stories and myths he is told by other people?

He keeps on doing his thing, some people keep on laughing.

The more I listen to him and read his stuff, the more I have to question my scepticism over some of his "wilder" claims.
