Stephon Marbury Is a former NBA star and Now is a star in China playing basketball.
A few years ago he released a pair of sneakers named the Starburys and sold them for 15 bucks.
He is releasing them again and this time going after Nike and Jordan.
I think he said the sneakers cost 5 bucks to make and sells them for 15. I wish more celebritys were doing this.
I will buy a few pairs of his sneakers when they come out. Starbury

They are a good looking shoe...Athletics in America is a little different story.
I think part of the problem is that, with children, whoever you are playing for...school, AAU, or whatever...dictate the style, color, and brand of shoe...

5 children, 3 in sports has been an expensive hobby...they all have AB honor roll though however...so school and not school sponsored athletics have their advantages sometimes too...

I will show these to the kids and let you know an informal poll...from a distance they sort of look like under armour...

P.S. I can't seem to find a link to buy any other than ebay?

Edit: results of poll:
2 say YES they love them...
3 say NO...
1 said "why don't we manufacture shoes here in the U.S.?"
Good question....SMH...

I wish him well.

Now that I'm older I understand how stupid it is to pay several hundred dollars for some sneakers. However, I also understand some people view sneakers as collectable.

The problem is a lot of the people buying these shoes really can't afford them and have their priorities mixed up. You got on a pair of $200 Jordans but on welfare.
