Question about DailyMail and Isis stuff

Hey guys i have a question,
i follow the world news a lot particularly the terrorism and middle east issues, but one thing i do not like is gore, hence i do not view facebook or twitter links, i watch the stuff on CNN or BBC as i know it will blur out the gore.

Now before people start accusing me of having no business of following things like terrorism if i do not like gore, or telling me the world isnt all peachey and rosey, i am well aware the world isnt peachey and rosey but that does NOT mean i need to watch beheading videos, or see pools of blood lying on the floor.

Now that is out of the way, i follow dailymail articles a lot
Whilst they blur out the gross images, they always have videos though.
I do not watch the videos because i am too worried i may see an actual execution.

Can anyone confirm too that the dailymail censors that out of the videos as well?

Here is what i mean, there will be an article about Isis, and then a similar related isis video of an isis incident.

www.dailymail.co.uk... filled-necklaces.html

or

www.dailymail.co.uk...

I just want to be sure they too are censored.

Again sorry about my second paragraph but if i didnt write that, i would get a load of sickos blasting me for not wanting to view gore, claiming i am out of touch, and that i need to watch it to see reality. etc.
PS and yes i am a girl, so i do have a weak stomache for gorey stuff

I haven't watched the linked videos because , well Daily Mail , but they will be censored for gore content as they are not allowed to show executions or gory content in this country , plus we are at war with IS so it would be seen as propaganda for them and their supporters.

Yes they are censored, as to video cutting out just before the graphic content.

If you want 'safe', watch the Major news networks, they always edit blood, swear words and the truth.

Thing is, I am not interested in gory and violent videos. I know some people get off on that type of voyeurism, but not me.

There is plenty of evidence and commentary that ISIS is barbarity personified, and that they are a bunch of sick people who do sick things. I don't need to see the YouTube vids and don't expect - or want - my news broadcaster to show me the actual crimes.

I know child abuse goes on, but I don't want to see those vid either.

As for as I'm concerned DM is the National Enquirer of the mainstream news. They seem to have no boundaries when it comes to blood and gore, with vivid photos of blooded victims, dead children, you name it. I remember a couple months ago when they showed the video of Lester Flannigan pointing a gun at the news crew before pulling the trigger. They even posted photos of body parts from the MH17 crash.
They also seem to have an odd fascination with ISIS, more so than any other site, by promoting every twisted execution on their home page.

I agree. ISIS do not need a media arm for propaganda. The DM does it for them.

One thing that gets gets me is they say 'warning graphic content' in the news listings but show graphic content alongside the warning.

I do see your point and I don't care to see 'gore' myself it actually makes me feel quite queasy - we can't all be heroes or Doc Martins some of us are just ordinary - and queasy. I man glad they back out stuff this kind of censorship is fine for me.

But I would like to make one point on especially ISIS and the gore they use. One of the most frightening things is fear of the unknown and I do think we need to be very well aware of exactly what these devils are getting up to in the name of their ghastly religion and political aspirations.

We also need to be aware that our own Oinky pushed for the Saudi job in the Human Rights league or whatever, despite his obviously knowing that they intend to crucify a young man for supposedly disrespecting the saudi king , not proven except to say his uncle is a dissident, we also need be aware the saudis stoned a woman to death recently also.

Its important we know the level of violence and inhumanity some people, religions and whatever are prepared to go for because with the world as it is today, we need to make informed decisions occasionally.

You don't have to worry about running into videos with real gore posted by The Daily Beast. Anything that marinates will sensor stuff like that. I'm glad you are being so careful to protect your psyche. Definitely keep doing that and don't ever give in to any inkling of curiosity you may have about seeing the uncensored stuff coming out of ISIS.

I was not so wise and have made the mistake of watching some of that in the past. It deeply disturbed me at the time and sometimes still creeps in to my nightmares.

When I was 13, Daniel Pearl was beheaded by Al Qaeda. My parents who are very conservative and obsessively watch Fox News, along with some people on Fox News actually, we're all saying that people should watch these videos to know just what kind of evil we were fighting. As a naive 13 year old boy at the time, I found the Daniel Pearl video online and watched it. To this day (I'm 25 now) I still cannot erase some of the details of what I witnessed back then. I know that because of that experience and similar ones later, I am slightly more numb to that kind of stuff than someone like you who has protected themselves from it more carefully. Despite that, now I am wise enough to stay away from it as much as possible (I also follow news on the "war on terror" quite a lot and am often researching in these subjects, so I come across links to videos like that every so often but satay away from them now).

You'll probably never have to worry about any mainstream news source exposing you to that kind of stuff. If anyone tries to attack you for censoring yourself, know that those people are incredibly stupid and or sick. Avoid those things as much as you can. I avoid them too now and am much better off for it.

Thanks for being kind and non judgemental with your reply,
i see your experience makes you understand where i am coming from.

I did see a year or two back a person post on here something about not wanting to see isis videos because he or she didnt like gore, and the person got scolded and was told under no uncertain terms `` do not be following the isis and terrorist stories if you dont want to view gore``.

Yeah that's just misguided in my opinion. Knowing that ISIS beheads and burns people alive is enough. There's no reason to watch it. Plus, if you watch an ISIS video you just give them another view, another web hit, and bragging point in their eyes.

I studied Arabic in college, have degrees in English and History and am a Suma Cum Laude scholar. My primary area of study was East-West relations, or within literally theory, Orient-Occident. I've studied terrorism and middle eastern conflicts on my own time for many years now. If you ever want help with research/understanding in those areas of study I'm always available. No matter your opinions, you can trust that I'll always fair, non-judgemental and academically focused. I have a wealth of books and documentaries I can recommend as well.

I am a photographer that these days mainly focuses in exposing third world poverty to the first world. I also produce fine art photography as well and have travelled to nearly 40 countries now capturing powerful imagery wherever I go. Feel free to check out my work and writing here:

Like all other major news outlets in the UK they censor anything that doesn't meet their agenda.

As for blood and gore, you are unlikely to see either on their website.

They have historical connections to fascism and supported the rise of the Nazis through propaganda leading up to the war, so for that reason i tend not to use them as a reliable source.

They also have a high percentage of female readers and tend to resist stories on the objectification of women which is their only saving grace imo.
