That's exactly what the Jewish extremists are saying visa versa. In fact if you put two extremists of either side next to each other and took away the trappings of religious apparel and whatever you wouldn't be able to tell which was which.

But here we are again with tensions risings and more atrocities on the way. Perhaps you might consider that one side is allowed no modern weapons and guns against the other and then - were you merely an observer you might think that that seems a little unfair. Personally I would disarm both sides, let them slog it out and perhaps we might have a winner or a stale mate that ultimately brings about peace.

One can only say to Netty - Well Prime Minister how is your policy going for you? Drastic failure? perhaps time to rethink rather than regurgitate hatred cos it ain't working and if you go in too hard, you will loose even more sympathy because the tide has turned against you world-wide already.

if you disarm palestinians you will have peace, if you disarm israel there will be no israel.
but the palestinians have been using cars lately to mow down dozens of israeli children and women, so what? not let them drive either?
or own kitchen knives?
or rocks?

well extremists are extremists I don't know how that has anything to do with Netanyahu? should he imprison all right wing religious extremists? wouldn't be much of a democracy then.

one is a country the other is not and never was a country, a military advantage is a given, but you do not necessarily need advanced weaponry to cause destruction.

the thing is too many people keep blaming Israel and only Israel for everything, everything, when in reality there is much more to the situation and the palestinians are not as innocent as claimed.

There you have it, the mental "them and us" - but you don't see it do you or why with that attitude there will never be peace there.

I seem to have missed the mowing down of dozens of israeli children and women - the ludicrous argument raised here utterly deserves the observation Oh, are the men quicker at jumping out of the way than the women?

The Palestinians are disarmed already, ' the news teams only ever show ordinary people in everyday dress such as t shirts facing people armed with army fatigues, helmets, shields and guns ready for the battlefield, not the street. One side is so heavily armed against the other - but you just can't see the disparity of it all.

I notice you make no reference to the Palestinian baby burned to death but I suppose your attitude would be "them".

Democracy should also observe laws and surely regardless of which side an extremist represents, when they murder and commit violence then they need to go to jail. But it seems that the law isn't involved for right wing Jewish extremists only right wing palestinian ones.

I do totally agree with you that the palestinians are not as innocent as claimed and also on occasions they will play victim to the tv cameras and press. You have to be fair minded about watching a situation and I imagine most people see this.

However what Israel misses out understanding is that its because it looks so one-sided and the destruction carried out periodically in Gaza etc by an army against unarmed civilians looses public support from around the world.

You also won't win any agreement with the idea that israel is a country but palestine never was because that land was known as Palestine, its people were called Palestinians and still are. Its on the maps from that era as palestine and everyone knows it existed who studies that areas' history. You won't get away from the name Palestinian unless you kill off every one and they go extinct and that won't go down well. Zimbabwe was once called Rhodesia but all its peoples decided to be called by the country's new name and they refer to themselves as Zimbabweans - Israel hasn''t managed to steer that successful course for itself and gained unification and some people, don't recognise it because of that, amongst that number are also some Jewish people themselves.

It's because the Israelis define themselves, not by their race, but by their religion.
I had a friend give me a DVD last Christmas, becuse she knew I was upset about the conflict, produced by the Jews For Jesus charity. It was pretty interesting viewing, but you have to read between the lines and not take any Christian propaganda at face value. It's called Forbidden Peace, and I think you can watch it on their YouTube channel as well. The basic gist of it, there are several people interviewed who are Palestinians and Jews, who have been united in their mutual love of Christ. There is even a lady who holds bible studies in her house which is open to both Palestinian and Israeli people who are Christians.
Now the problem here is this. The Orthodox Jews have no respect whatsoever for Christians, no matter what side they are on. They openly blaspheme against Christ. The American Christian Right, who love Israel so much, are pretty sheltered from this, they have no idea the Jews don't love them as much as they love the Jews. Did you know that when they send Bibles out to them, they tear out the New Testsment? They absolutely abhor Jesus. Same goes for the Muslim fundamentalists, if they can kill a Christian, that's kudos to them.
So how can anyone with this Messianic delusion ever belive that the conflict can be ended if both sides accept Jesus? That's magical thinking.

No. The Palestinians are not "disarmed already". They were almost disarmed before Oslo. With Oslo accords they legally received fire arms from Israel. And later unilaterally massively enlarged their armed forces breaching Oslo agreements.

Gaza today is by no means "helpless teen agers with the stones"

The news teams, all of them - both Western and moreso Arabian, fabricated this image of innocent victims.

I don't see why it doesn't? if they get caught they will sit in jail for burning that house and murdering that family, as far as I know they haven't found them yet but that does not mean the law doesn't apply to them or that they aren't being hunted, since we don't know the details on the investigation, but I can assure you they aren't sitting in a 5 star hotel drinking margaritas and being praised for their murder in fact most of the country was disgusted by this act.

I didn't study its history so I don't know how far back it was called palestine but others have mentioned in the thread it isn't very old and wasn't even officially called that but was used as a label.

whatever it was called that still doesn't make it a country which it never was, the lands belonged to lots of different people, and when the Israeli settlers came a lot of Arabs sold their lands for pennies because they thought it was worthless, well now they are jealous of what has been accomplished and want it back but it doesn't work that way, they never bothered doing anything with their lands it was dirt and more dirt whose fault is that?.

and before anyone accuses me of just "making that up" a very close Arab friend of my family told us this, even his own family sold lots of land for practically free because they didn't think it was worth anything.

but that is going a bit off-topic maybe.

You always bring this "occupier " thing up when its easy enough to find out its not a occupation. You had to had had a country and a government beforehand to qualify as that. "palestinea" was a AREA and not a nation according to the LEague of nations. And Their decisions still stand to this day as per the UNs bylaws. The surrounding nations around ISrael have also refused the return of land as long as th e"palestinians" are on it as well.

3/4 of "Palestine" already and has been in existence since 1947. It is called Jordon. In the map pic below what is seen as "Palestine" was the land originally carved out for a Jewish State.

www.eretzyisroel.org...

Palestinians are by law guaranteed the RIGHT OF RETURN to Jordan, where they are entitled to citizenship, "unless they are Jews."

Jordan is very much afraid that it will be declared THE PALESTINIAN STATE, Jordan has NEVER allowed publication of the percentage of Palestinians in its population. Jordan is also afraid that someone might suggest to take a portion of its territory for a Palestinian state. MORE THAN TWICE the number of Palestinians live on the EAST BANK of the Jordan River in Jordanian territory, than live on the WEST BANK.

Around 70% of the Jordanian population today, still see themselves as Palestinians. Even Yasser Arafat and his PLO thugs looked to Jordan as being a part of their homeland.

Abu Toameh:

When the PLO tried to establish a state-within-a-state in the kingdom in the late 60’s and early 70’s, Jordan’s King Hussein ordered the army to launch a massive assault on the refugee camps in the kingdom, massacring thousands of Palestinians in what has since become to be known as Black September.

The Palestinians who were expelled from Jordan to Lebanon later played a major role in the Lebanese civil war. Over 100,000 people are believed to have been killed in that war, which lasted for more than a decade.

“Palestine and Jordan are one…” said King Abdullah in 1948.

“The truth is that Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan,” said King Hussein of Jordan, in 1981.

“Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine; there is only one land, with one history and one and the same fate,” Prince Hassan of the Jordanian National Assembly was quoted as saying on February 2, 1970.

Abdul Hamid Sharif, Prime Minister of Jordan declared, in 1980, “The Palestinians and Jordanians do not belong to different nationalities. They hold the same Jordanian passports, are Arabs and have the same Jordanian culture.”

Where is your proof Hamas had anything to do with this stabbing? They said they condoned it not that they made it happen.
Seeing how you have done nothing but cry Hamas who had nothing to do with this I doubt you are up to the challenge.

Source

Hamas welcomed the attack and called for additional murders. Hamas spokesperson Hussam Bardan called the attack an act of heroism, and said, "we support every attack of this type."

What else do you need?

For you to actually understand what you are reading. Nowhere in that article does it say they had anything to do with the attack just that they welcomed it. Doesn't look like you are up to the challenge either.

Denier huh?

and I quote...

"and called for additional murders"

What part of that is so hard to understand? Seems pretty strait forward to me. Anyone else see that?

Dashen, go google Gaza+Children+Dead...click on 'images'...scroll down...and down..and down..and down..and down..and down and then, read very carefully what I am saying here, so there can be absolutely no misunderstanding between us...

I DON'T GIVE A FLYING F*CK what ethnic, religious or cultural group these people came from centuries ago or what they are or aren't today. For the last 700 well documented YEARS of history, they have been residents of PALESTINE and MURDERING THEM SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ZIONIST JEWS IS WRONG. MURDERING CHILDREN IS UNJUSTIFIABLE AND A CRIME - EVERY TIME.

Nothing you can do or say will alter that. Nothing Israel can say or do now can change or conceal what it has done every day since 1948. Nothing Israel can say or do now will allow it to avoid the inevitable consequences of its actions. Israel only condemns itself. Only shames itself. We all reap what we sow. Israel is no different.

Read this very carefully, while you're at it.

IT'S OK FOR ANYONE ELSE TO DO IT TO ISRAEL BUT NOT OK IF ISRAEL DOES IT, RIGHT?

Besides... You're only seeing the PUBLICISED information on the outcome. Try knowing all of the facts. Not just what left wing media want's you to know and read.

Face it. You're biased. You only want to believe what you want and to hell with the facts.

I've been in this fight for justice for 25 years...for Palestinians of all faith, including Jewish Palestinians, Christian and Muslim alike...I'm finally..done.

Don't come here as babies expecting ignorance to cover as information. Don't say you weren't warned of the consequences of bedding with the Zionists and their GLOBAL dominance pogrom. Don't say you didn't know..YOU DID..YOU DO....that's all I can say now....you were / we were all warned. Israel has condemned the people of the USA just as much as it has the Jewish people, it's not only the Palestinian people's fate...you have NO idea what lies you spew...the ignorance you have. You dont want to hear or listen..that's your right....your decision..only you are accountable for that. It remains..that you do not know what it is you do not know....gullible, febrile, arrogant, ignorance. You can keep them. You made your beds..you..and sadly, your children and theirs will lie in them.

You cannot continue to dance with the devil and wonder why you are in hell.
Dusting my feet..walking away. You win..Good luck.

Jordan renounced claims

"the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was understood as British recognition of a Jewish National Homeland in ALL of historic Palestine" - meaning today's Jordan and Israel. The territory promised by the Balfour Declaration can justifiably be interpreted as ending at the Jordan River or as extending further.

The Romans introduced the word Palestine as a way to expunge the name Judea from the map - a punishment for the Bar Kochba rebellion suppressed in 135 C.E. Naming the region after the Philistine residents of the coast, they called it Palaestina. When the Arabs conquered the area in 634, they inherited and kept the Roman divisions for over three centuries, so their provinces too straddled the river.

SO the ROMANS iIlegally under modern law Changed the name. And th eLeague of nations was just llazy about changing the name back and correcting a western created wrong, and that eventually led us to this lovely situation.
