monkeys have been used and abused in 'medical research' as well as other animals and rodents, sometimes human prisoners and 'hospitalized/mentally unstable and homeless people' and has been reported on news reports this past year , this has been going on for at least a century.

AIDS isn't a virus. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is a medical condition. The virus is HIV. Which most believe to be the cause of AIDS. Perhaps that's splitting hairs to some but I think the distinction is important.

Who knows? I can only speculate. I think 99.999% of anyone who has anything to say about it can really only speculate.

Are there people who would have motive? Obviously, yes. Are there people who are callous and calculating enough? Well, if there was a Hitler then we can obviously extrapolate and say that yes. There probably are people who would if they had the opportunity.

But like any other kind of fear story, whatever it's origins, it has obviously been exploited by many people with many different agendas.

Honestly, there's no way to know and the amount of speculation about where it might have came from and/or why is really only limited by the imagination.

I will say this. Humans have been around for a long time and we've been having all kinds of "creative" sex for as long as there have been humans. I find it unlikely it would take this long for such an illness to naturally come about. Whatever the truth is, it seems pretty obvious that it has something to do with relatively recent developments. And men having sex with men is obviously not a recent development. Nor is anal sex or casual sex and/or rampant promiscuity.

I read an article in the science section of either the "Detroit News" or the "Detroit Free Press" way back in the summer of 1978 or 1979 that was called "Killer Cell". My friend brought it over one day to share some end of the world doom porn.

The article stated that the U.S. military developed a virus as a biological weapon that attacked the human immune system, it attacked the "killer" T-cell to be exact. It went on to say that it disabled the immune system and allowed other diseases to go unchecked and kill off the infected person.

I clearly remember this article and the drawing of the virus they were talking about. It was a few years later that the mysterious AIDS condition was first "discovered" in IV drug users and gays. By the early 1980's, everyone I knew was worried about drug use and unprotected sex because of AIDS.

I highly doubt that anyone will ever find that article unless they saved it themselves. I also doubt that there are microfilmed copies at the newspaper or local libraries, but there may still be a copy of that article somewhere to be found.

I personally don't believe that Regan released it into the public to purposely kill off druggies and gays like one CT I heard. Most likely it got out by accident. Why the military would develop such a weapon without a cure is beyond me though.

I don't think it is man made as we simply did not have the technology to create a virus from scratch. If we go by the first documented cases of HIV we get to late 50s when we had just identified the structure of DNA (1953). The first synthetic virus was not created until 2002.

Lentiviruses have been around for at least 12 million years. Scientists have identified human HIV virus closest 'relative' in the Sooty Mangabeys monkeys in West Africa, tracing its origins to (at least) 1920. This type of monkeys were kept as pets and also eaten which makes the body fluids transmission from them to humans very plausible.

The evidence points strongly at a mutated simian virus:

It wasn't created per se as much as it was a manifestation of collective thought reacting to trends promoting strict homosexual relationships as a replacement for failing heterosexual ones.

Some people function fine with heterosexual relationships. Some prefer homosexual. Some go both ways.

Trying to say it was a 'product' of some genius madman - sure - it's possible, but that genius madman was controlled like a robot to do what he/she/it did and create that virus.

Much like what's his name who did the Oklahoma Bombings. It's easy pinpointing it on one man, but more difficult to comprehend the power of collective minds looking for a suspect for something when none were there. So when none were there, the collective mind created - quite literally - the man who eventually took the blame.

Thought creates reality. Simple as that.

And much of what we're seeing on this planet is the blame game, when people don't understand the reality shifting power of the collective minds such as unions - that do nothing right now but preserve status quo and the spin cycle of reality and these whack a mole games of what's the next conspiracy?.

Alternate theory: Necessity is the mother of invention. By creating a deadly and easily spread disease, a virus outbreak that threatens society is inevitable and spurs breakthroughs in anti viral medicinal techniques.
