From past contests. The only guidelines are going to be. That it has to be Halloween themed and within the T@C's. All the other guidelines are how to vote and in what category, writer status or non writer status, to place your story in. Neither of those things has to do with the content of the story. Those are the only rules. So if your waiting for the guidelines to write your story. You do not have to. You can start tweaking it now. I have already started my entry.

If you are still worried. Just go and look at the rules for the other contests. I do not think anything changes. The guidelines have not changed for any of the contests I have participated in. Just the theme. Which for this contest is Halloween.

So I'm assuming gore is Halloween themed right? Like a scene only versus a tale of killings, hauntings or whatever?

Remember T&C still applies. People of all age reads what's on this site. As long as it is not violent in nature, it should be fine.

I think you can be violent just not too violent. Its all in how you describe the violence. Just stay away from freaky sexual violence and swearing and you should be fine. The T@C's of the whole site still apply to the story. Just be smart about your violence and gore.

Honestly I'm not sure. It was written when I was 15 about, and has reference to religion and blood. No reference to body parts outside general things like; arms, legs, chest.

I am wondering now too. I have a story pretty much ready to go but now that I read this I am wondering if its a little too much guts and eyeballs, so to speak...
