Follow The Yellow Brick Road? Didn't it used to say Yellow Brick Trail?

Just watching Wizard of Ozz with my daughter.
And those little munchkins starting singing about folowing the yellow brick road.
I remember it clearly being yellow brick trail.
And that dog, Toto, I remember it being a cat named Tito.
Am I crazy or what happened?
Different dimension stuff happening?
It's so weird. What happened?

well...a trail is dirt. If you put bricks on it, you have a road or a path.

I don't know if you're remembering the right movie. Yes, it's The Wizard of Oz. One Z in that. Also, it was always the yellow brick road. It was a dog and it's name was Toto. The Wicked Witch said, "I'll get you, my little pretty, and your little dog too!"

There was a strange copy-cat film starring Shirley Temple. It had a dog and a cat who turned into a man and a woman, and they traveled with her. One of them was named Tito. Might have been the cat. There was no yellow brick road, but for all I know, there MAY have been a yellow brick trail?

I have never read the original Frank L. Baum work that the movie was based on, but I can say that since at least the 70's, it's been a Yellow Brick Road, and a shaggy mutt named Toto. Who, apparently, misses precipitation on the African continent.

I saw the same version. It came on right after Star Wartz which was about celebrity venereal diseases (looking at you Paris) and before the The Goodfather which was about this nice Italian dad who kept his children out of the mafia.
