The longer youre on ATS as a member...the more you see the light with these...and we can all discuss this after say...November? We'll all still be here. No asteroids, no nukes, major wars, no tilting of the Earth...nothing.....

I've been on ATS for 10+ years now, and you're right no predictions made on here have come to pass. But the lead up speculation and discussion is still fun. I love me some good doom porn.

I am aware of All the threads of pending Doom over the years, as I have been around here for years.
This thread was to try and take a light hearted look at some of the more obscure predictions and also look at the varying amount of predictions for this month. That's all.

Can't say I've heard of all of these.

Drought in California is terrible, but has been ongoing and not going to end the world or anything. I haven't heard about it getting nuked though. Those predictions are pretty common too though, for one area or another at any given time of the year or during a big event.

Civil/World wars in conjunction with stock market crashes for the ends of ushering in the NWO are at least three or fours times a year.

The asteroid impact I've heard (and been active in one of the threads about), but pretty much dismiss. Especially since it ties into a Biblical prediction.

The Pope being assassinated is a thing that pops up anytime that he travels, and him being an extraterrestrial is nothing new either.

End times prophecies pop up toward the end of every tetrad, so the "Blood Moon Prophecy" is nothing too new either.

Global warming releasing new viruses or bacteria is semi-possible, but at the same time new treatments, antibiotics, and antivirals are being developed. While for a virus it would have to be more specific, I'm sure it's nothing that modern medicine couldn't handle.

As other old-timers here have said, in a solid decade there have been literally thousands of failed prophecies and predictions here on ATS. Eventually someone will get it right, but I doubt we'll ever see the day it happens.

Well that's just great!
I am only recently trying to stray away from the doom...it's soo addicting.lol
I was just giving the op some possible points of doom.

Your right though, Every generation believes themselves to be the end times. But i often wonder why? like deeply rooted in the genes why?
Does it come from a hope of a better life after? (at least IMO)?
