I gotta say I think our Police serve the public better but this is a prank thread just to show which police have a better sense of humour.

I guess, the US cops are more ready for taking a bullet rather than joke, as things look right now in US. The wimpy-dimpy UK cops do not need to worry that much about some meth dozed maniac racing around with AR15. So, I can see the joke in this, but then again - second guessing the looks of the US cops, I'd say they were not really in the wimpy-dimpy business.

I see nothing wimpy about going after potentially armed and violent criminals, armed with nothing more than a stick, a tazer and some pepper spray. They never know for sure if someone is armed or not till it may be too late.

Op - this is a great example of the difference in policing - "You dropped your coca*** mate" and let him put it back in his pocket!!!! An American cop would have him on the ground, with a knee across his throat. I wouldn't even think of trying that here.

The American police seem like they're more quick to react aggressively vs the UK police. The UK police are more reserved and are more willing to communicate and defuse the situation. You can tell just by their physical demeanor, the American police are tightly wound and are more cautious when approaching a situation.

Interesting video comparison. Maybe our American police departments should be viewing these videos. I think our police are lacking on the job communication skills, and skills on how to defuse aggravating situations.

The ones I have seen who appear to have a sense of humour all wear black uniforms, I have no Idea about cop uniforms in the States anyone?.

Not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not......

I live in a very small town and a few of our cops where all black, look roided out and tuck their trousers in their military boots like they are military instead of cops.

Then again, some have a sense of humor and treat people like human beings, and some can be total hard asses. I guess that is a benefit of living in a small town. It is easy to know which ones not to piss off?

I was once helped by a copper who looked exactly like Bill Clinton...that's the closest I have ever gotten to an American policeman I suppose lol.
But I was very very drunk.
I have had loads of dealings with our police and had murder squad police come in the pub I ran in London (They came to many of my after parties and as long as you are allright with them they are alright with you even If have done something wrong.
I guess the police have a few extra things to worry about though then our cops.

They used to be fairly decent here as well. Back in the early 80's if you got caught with some beer or smoke in your car, and partaking, they would tell you to get your ass home and if they see you out again that night it was jail. Of course that is if you were polite and gave them some respect when they pulled up on ya! That was the State police by the way.

Now the old timers have retired and we have a new breed. I point my fingers at politicians and how police are revenue generators instead of peace keepers in general now a days.

Can you drink in the streets where you are?.

Oh and really think big business has taken over your cops and prisons, I was reading about one state that has increased the amount of executions because they have gotten a new supply of the killer drug.

Nope!

Did you know if you are driving a car in the states and you have a passenger tossing back a cold one it is a violation?

It's called the open container law. Odd right, that a passenger isn't even permitted to drink?

So if you ever do come over here with some mates, make sure know one has an open container in the car.

Or the drug dealers being chased through a busy town centre firing an AK47 from the back seat at the chasing officers. Wimpy- Dimpy lol
