Yes the usual, sarcasm presented to make gun defense look cartoonish. Perhaps it is, but it's better have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it..

Regardless, the m1 is great medium range weapon, home defense ;a well trained shooter, with a glock 17 , or a shotgun should do the trick.
