Accused of "trying to change history", four men were charged with forging numerous Bible-era artifacts. The ring of 4 men would make inscriptions
on nonassuming artefacts of little value, then recreate the patina, which is the ancient grime found on original artefacts, to cover the new
inscriptions. Once these "inscriptions" are "found" the value of the pieces inreases enormously. The men would then promote their "finds" and
sell them to museums and collectors around the world.

A FORGERY ring that spanned the globe and produced a treasure trove of fake Bible-era artefacts was cracked yesterday.
Police said the ring forged what were presented as perhaps the two biggest biblical discoveries in the Holy Land in recent years - the purported
burial box of Jesus' brother, James, and a stone tablet with written instructions by King Yoash on maintenance work at the Jewish temple.

It is estimated that the forgeries span the globe, and that many museums and collectors are in possession of these fakes. Officials say that the
forgeries have produced many millions of dollars. Officials have also said that they believe that what they have uncovered thus far barely scratches
the surface, expecting many more forgeries to be found around the world.
It truly is a shame that there are unscrupulous people that feed off of the deep religous beliefs of others for their own personal gains.
Televangelists are one thing, where they offer to take you to heaven if you make a donation - personally I am not a big fan of these folks, however
this ring of forgers takes it to a whole new level. Claiming to have found the burial box of Jesus' brother and making countless millions off of it
is horrible. How many millions of people of devout beliefs, had life altering beliefs with these finds?
