Now here is an interesting story!

Possible true religious conspiracy here. Is it not strange that the Freemasons would openly support this particular Pope. Are we witnessing the formation of the predicted "One World Religion"?

The story if full of information and way too long to post the whole article. Below are some highlights:
veritas-vincit-international.org...

Why does Freemasonry – an organization condemned by the Catholic Church – openly support Pope Francis?

In an unprecedented development, for the first time in history, this organization, labelled by previous pontiffs as the “synagogue of Satan”, is openly welcoming and embracing the Roman Catholic Pontiff.

It is worth reminding the reader that for the Catholic Church, membership in freemasonry means automatic excommunication. Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI), then Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, on November 26, 1983, emphasized:

The faithful who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion…. Consequently, neither the excommunication nor the other penalties envisaged have been abrogated.

Numerous popes have condemned freemasonry throughout the ages.

Freemasonry is nothing more than Satanic worship – beautifully packaged as a “humanitarian” movement to unsuspecting victims.

Pope Gregory XVI, who was one of the foremost opponents of Freemasonry, was able to seize documents from the masonic lodge known as “Alta Vendita”. The documents were later on published in a book, and disseminated through various lectures. The “Alta Vendita” documents chillingly summarizes a plan to infiltrate and destroy the Catholic Church from within, a plan which may even require a century:

Our ultimate end is that of…the final destruction of Catholicism, and even of the Christian idea … The Pope, whoever he is, will never come to the secret societies; it is up to the secret societies to take the first step toward the Church, with the aim of conquering both of them. The task that we are going to undertake is not the work of a day, or of a month, or of a year; it may last several years, perhaps a century; but in our ranks the soldier dies and struggle goes on … What we must ask for, what we should look for and wait for, as the Jews wait for the Messiah, is a Pope according to our needs…You will contrive for yourselves, at little cost, a reputation as good Catholics and pure patriots. This reputation will put access to our doctrines into the midst of the young clergy, as well as deeply into the monasteries. In a few years, by the force of things, this young clergy will have overrun all the functions; they will form the sovereign’s council, they will be called to choose a Pontiff who should reign.

Lots of different groups and individuals like what this fellow has done so far for the Catholic Church, and hope that he continues on the path that he's on. So Freemasons could just be getting on the Francis bandwagon (or hayride, depending on locality and temperament). And besides that ... (cough, Jesuit).

Check out the story. They were already in his camp BEFORE he did anything as Pope.

“nothing will be as it was before” ????

veritas-vincit-international.org...

The Italian Freemasons congratulated him immediately the day after his election. In fact, the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Italy expressed his joy regarding the election of Pope Francis. On March 14, 2013, the day after the pope’s inauguration, with seemingly uncanny prophetic foresight, Italian Grandmaster of Freemasonry Gustavo Raffi said that “nothing will be as it was before”:

With Pope Francis, nothing will be as it was before. It is a clear choice of fraternity for a Church of dialogue, which is not contaminated by the logic and temptations of temporal power.

A man of the poor far away from the Curia. Fraternity and the desire to dialogue were his first concrete words. Perhaps nothing in the Church will be as it was before. Our hope is that the pontificate of Francis, the Pope who ‘comes from the end of the world’ can mark the return to the Church-Word instead of the Church-Institution, promoting an open dialogue with the contemporary world, with believers and non-believers, following the springtime of Vatican II.

Maybe because he is the anti-christ and they just want to enjoy the ride into the apocalypse!

Nearly all the world's religions talk about the Holy Spirit, yet everyone is afraid of a One world religion.

Wouldn't a One world religion that accepts all the sacred books that teach of the Holy Spirit being from prophets be a good thing?

For Christians Jesus is the Holy Spirit, for Jews the Christ could be accepted as the Holy Spirit, and the Muslims believe Jesus is the Messiah. The Buddhist follow the Light, Jesus said I am the Light, and Buddhist claims the Light is divine spiritually. The Hindus, Zoroastrians, Sikhs and the Native Americans also believe we are connected to a divine spirit.

Jesus Christ said a Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.

How would accepting that all of these religions talking about the same Holy Spirit be Anti-Christ? Wouldn't believing that all religions teach the same core message be a Kingdom United?

The Anti-Christ is one who divides. Wouldn't the current religion of self-rightous dogma which has lead to separation and genocide be Anti-Christ?

And a One world religion of acceptance be for Christ, since he is the Holy Spirit?

Maybe the founding fathers who were free masons, who are known to accept all the sacred texts, who were more worried about freedom of religion then self-righteous dogma were on to something.

LOL, sure... until they go after those who won't accept their one world religion... I know what the "One World Religion" is. No thank you.

This New World Religion will be a re-establishment of the ancient Mysteries of Initiation. (Alice Bailey, The Reappearance of the Christ, p. 71; Bailey, The Externalisation Of The Hierarchy, p. 511-515). Literally, this statement means that the Ancient Satanic Mysteries of Babylon and Egypt will be re-established as the religion of the world. In other words, public Satanism will be established, and will be practiced as openly.

Bailey states repeatedly in The Externalisation Of The Hierarchy that traditional Protestant religions must change their doctrines prior to the establishment of the New World Order. They must abandon their insistence on rigid doctrinal positions. Mankind has a great "need for spiritual unity and to throw overboard all separative theological attitudes and dogmas in every field of thought." (p. 378). These old dogmatic doctrines must give way to the ancient Satanic Mysteries, as we have already quoted. BP: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." (1 Timothy 4:1).

Teaches the doctrine that Maitreya will be greater than Jesus Christ. "While Jesus had had a resurrected body after the crucifixion, he had to forfeit that body because he had not earned the right to keep it [because] Jesus was only a fourth level initiate, whereas Gautama Buddha was a sixth level initiate. However, Lord Maitreya himself was a seventh level initiate and the only one eligible for such a high level of initiation." (Cumbey, Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, p. 96-7).

Both the Vatican and Freemasonry teach worldliness and the universal brotherhood of man. I'm not the least bit surprised.

The freemasons, the ones who maintain the untarnished views of our founding fathers would not support forced conversion to any religious principle, as it would directly violate one of their core principles.

So if the Pope is on board with the freemasons I guarantee you their will be acceptance but no forced conversion.

I do realize that some who have called themselves masons have tarnished freemasonry.

But I believe the freemasons that founded this nation are an extension of the Knights Templars. And that freemasons practice religious tolerance because the founders believed all the religions taught the same core message.

Even if Freemasons disagree with certain aspects of others religious dogma they practice tolerance and maintain their differences outside of the mason ideology. So I seriously doubt the masons would back any form of intolerance or forced conversion.

Add - ideologies can change. Maybe they have heard enough that they are ready to change and accept One Holy Spirit who is Christ?

The Pope's message seems to be reform, peace and acceptance, none of those things sound Satanic to me, actually the Pope's message sounds very Christ-Like.

Only if the Pope denies the divinity of Jesus Christ or the internal Holy Spirit would I accept that the Pope is Anti-Christ.

Jesus Christ said that his disciples would do greater things than he did. Of course it is my opinion that none is greater than Christ, but bringing the world into an age of 100% acceptance would indeed be greater than what Christ accomplished in his time as a man.

They could be coming out with the truth about Jesus and the 1000yr war between good and evil.
After the crucifixion the cult of Catholicism was lost, to be revived hundreds of years later. Jesus lost that war between good and evil. 1000yrs later the war resurfaced and again evil won through and we were led into the dark ages. it is time again for the 1000yr war between good and evil.
You cannot fight an enemy you don't know exist. All religious people cannot see how there messiah lost his battle between good and evil.
I dare any believer to convince me and prove that religion has won and changed the world for the better at any point in history.
It will win in the future but only when we realise we are on the losing side at the moment and think we are winning.
That is the wake up call.

The section about excommunication is a not likely event, or is no longer a precept, probably in part because there is nothing about a Mason not getting communion, so the church can hardly excommunicate a Catholic from joining the Masons then...the church is catched in that way. The church still does say that the Masons ideals and the churches ideals are incompatible and thereby a Catholic joining the Masons is sinful but presumably because any Catholic joining the Masons would be embracing all the Masonic ideals, but there must be some commonality that's recognisable twixt the two entities that the church needed to acknowledge since 1983 when the then Cardinal Ratzinger spoke rather confusingly on the subject.
In Pope Francis, the Masons may see a more humanitarian leader, so this may be where the commonality lies...but that's my guess.

Because it is irrelevant what the Catholic Church thinks of them.

They are an organisation, based on belief in a higher being. I guess they see Pope Francis as one of the more progressive Popes that is open to helping people of all creeds, much like the Freemason organisation itself.

You know why? Christians are the easiest to manipulate.

They just can't do other religion. One is too much of living with Nature the other is full of suicide bombers.

Freemasons needs an army. That would be Christianity as they are the ones who kept going all over the world talking about Jesus.
