We could all use some hope from time to time. Especially when its so dark below and we need that light to guide us.

By the way, 'livid' means 'the colour of lead', so I'm not sure quite what you mean by 'the heart beats lividly'.

Sadness is felt but not wanted so the hope is to not have sadness - hope wants it to go and hope wants happiness.
But if there is sadness why not let there be sadness - that feeling is life itself - but no - hope wants other.
See if life can be felt as it is. Is that possible? To let life be experienced as it is instead of the mind jumping up and hoping for not this but something else. Where is the something else when there is sadness?
Sadness will not stay - but the fear is that it will never go when it is present.

It's a strange sensation when you draw comfort from sadness. Most people try to avoid sadness and despair, but there are times when their presence can be rewarding. For example, when listening to sad music, you can become overcome with emotions ranging from grief to elation - which can be beneficial for balancing and developing your mood.

Hope blinds you to what is.

I wouldn't say despair is good. Despair comes when there is the illusion of there being no hope, making it one of the worst of feelings.
